Chelsea v Liverpool : Carabao Cup Final

Harsh on Chelsea. Did enough to win it over 90 minutes.

I’ll take winning a trophy how ever they come.

Didn't think there was much in it. They shaded it but I wouldn't say you didn't deserve it either. You guys take a mean penalty though 10 of the 11 were very good.

Called them losing on pens at 90.
Like the last time they lost to Liverpool in a cup final.

As long as this ends up being their only trophy no-one should worry too much.

So many shootouts seem to last an age now with very little fantastic saves or bad misses. They're nowhere near as exciting or nail-biting these days.
So is it a case of :
: Players are technically superior nowadays
: Keepers are a lot worse
: Players are just paid too much nowadays so don't really give a shit anymore, hence they don't get as nervous as previous generations.

I personally think its the latter. I don't think Players truly care as much as they used too especially when you see all the hugging and what not even in big Derby clashes.
Penalty shootouts are such drivel now I'd rather just scrap them for a golden goal.

Feck Kepa. Feck Liverpool.

Mendy would have managed to save one.

We missed too many chances and gave Liverpool the chance to stay in the game. Horrendous refereeing cost us but that’s the norm against those mutants.

More important things in life. Back to worrying about Putin.

Chelsea's record at Wembley in the last 10 years is shocking.

Congratulations to Liverpool. Proper football club adding another trophy!

Players are technically miles better imho. You very rarely have cloggers in midfield or CB, everyone is technically great and the days of hit and hope are gone.

Tough luck, but I'm happy we could go toe-to-toe with a top team. We'll be OK if we get a good striker

Realy didn't give a shit who won it both classless clubs. The keeper can't fecking move so unless you sky it or wide it, pens are so easy to convert now, so the powers that be need to do something or you be getting more 22 pen shoot outs, which it a useless way to win a trophy.

Result never in doubt such is Liverpool's luck but I thought Chelsea were excellent. By far the better team.

Why are they talking about Liverpool potentially winning 3/4 trophies? We're in February. feck me.

I think players care just as much, if not more. Especially when they know the absolute avalanche of shite that’s coming their way if they miss.

Such a weird pen by Kepa, he really hit it like a goal kick.

Tuchel has a lot to answer for this because you do NOT replace the current best goalkeeper in the world, especially not then that goalkeeper is over 4 inches taller than the other goalkeeper on your team. Every single inch matters.
