La liga 2021/22

How the feck are Real losing 0-4 at home? This isn't even a great Barca team?

You're really sensitive indeed. Imagine getting that much worked up because a post of 2 words is said about your beloved manager.

Get a grip. It's just a harmless joke. Has nothing to do with being obsessed with manager as it was said on all our previous ones.

If anything you're the one obsessed with Ole if you can't endure a post of 2 words said as a joke about him.
Ole wasn’t good enough and is now gone, boring as feck having to see these hilarious (apparently) jokes every thread.

The team is completely surpassed. Tactically, emotionally.

I don't think I hate another player as much as Busquets. Maybe Pique? Oh wait, and Alba. All three of them.

They are genuinely a better side than us. Could already get glimpses of this in the supercup, now they're in full flow and the difference is stark. They're actually a really well coached side. We're a shambles carried by a few great individualities

You sound like you could do with a nice Oleday.

It'll be incredible if Xavi also turns out to be a top manager. Guardiola, Enrique & Xavi - potentially 3 top managers from the same school.

While we've got Giggsy, Neville & co - who's tactical capacity doesn't go much beyond desire, effort & wanting it bad enough.

I’m far from a ‘fan boy’ (cringe) with regards to Ole. Just find it pathetic how fans keep on about him.

Hilarious joke anyway. As you were..

Why? He was a shit manager, completely out of his depth that should have been sacked 2 years ago (SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN HIRED FULL TIME) yet people came up with any excuse imaginable to justify his mediocrity. "Needs backing, needs more money, needs a full season, needs 3 transfer windows, blah, blah blah"

Here's Xavi taking over a broken team ,and in 3 months he is having them playing to their excellent best.

Good coach doesn't need a billion euros in transfer budget and four seasons to have his team play football

Manchester United were never at any point under Ole even half so good as Barcelona have been over the past month

I think not enough credit goes to dani alves , pure class and at this age as well!

I mean, firstly Real have been horrendous. Apathetic in the extreme. The decision to play 4 central midfielders was a terrible one. They’ve had no outlet up front and have just invited pressure all game.

Secondly, this non great Barca team have been superb today. Busquets, De Jong and Pedri have put on a masterclass. That midfield 3 is as good as it gets when Busquets can turn back the clock. The two in front of him are probably the two biggest emerging midfield talents in world football. To think how good those two can be together over the next 7-8 years is frightening.

Vinicius runs down blind alleys quite a lot doesn't he?

Missed the point completely.

Xavi is doing just fine, though.

Depay really is not a striker for a top top club.

Wonder why Barcelona looked shite earlier in the year with him and Luuk de Jong up front with Braithwaite as the star player ...

Now they've got Torres, Auba and Dembele, arguably €200 odd worth of attackers...

Chelsea are going to completely destroy us if we continue with the nostalgia-XI.

Safe to say Xavi's Barca has taken off. If Laporta somehow manages to reduce the debt (CVC?), they will be back after a mini-shite era (2019-2021).

It would be hilarious if Poch and Mbappé land together at Bernabéu for 2022-23.

There have been a few more but can't think off the top of my head right now

Valeron, huge talent.

Then you have Pedro, Jesé (until he blew his knee), Ruben Castro is kind of a cult hero in La Liga, Yeremi Pino (the kid who scored 3 for Villarreal couple weeks ago), Jonathan Viera who could've been way better if he didn't left to China,

And they also produce a lot of good players (not world class from Pier Luigi Cherubino and Paco Jemez in the 90's, Guayre, Manuel Pablo, Vitolo, Roque Mesa... they provide a great haul of quality for a 2 million habitants region.

Good post. Thanks for the info.

Benzema was clearly missing (not just as a goalscoring threat but as a linkup player), but this was pathetic from Madrid even without him. Wtf was that?

Amazing boost for Barca though outplaying the league leaders and a Champions League quarterfinalist.

4 goals vs Simeone’s Atletico

4 goals vs Napoli (who at the time had one of the best defensive record in the top 5 leagues)

4 goas vs Valencia at Mestella

4 goals vs Athletic Club

4 goals vs Osasuna

4 goals vs Real Madrid

Xaviball has arrived.

Seriously though, Xavi looks like a near perfect coach for Barca. As a Barca fan it’s enjoyable watching this team again.

Really makes you wonder where Barca would be in the league and in Europe if they had fired Koeman sooner.
