Looking forward to seeing how Duff is going to get on as manager at Shels, and more importantly long term hopefully we see the success of the Save Tolka Park campaign.

A combination of having zero expectations and just liking the guy / the way he's trying to go about the job is enough for me to be fine with this.

Yeah I think it's the right decision, especially when you consider the shitshow he came into with the pandemic fecking up plans left, right and centre.

It’s the right decision. He’s bringing us somewhere. He might ultimately fall short but the idea is right so I hope whatever happens we commit to this path.

Yeah, great news. Hope he gets a few breaks now with the squad between now and the qualifiers. A settled squad and time to work on the system, build on the last couple of windows. He has the fan base behind him and rightfully so.

With a surname like that someone’s dropped a bollock if he can’t.

I thought the same but that twitter account were fairly on the ball when they were going....but still, t'is twitter. Surprised no journalists have asked about it, you'd think it'd be an obvious question !

Well, what's the lowdown? I remember him vaguely from his playing days, what's the word on him as a coach?
Seems to be reasonably highly rated. There’s been a bit of chat around him for managers’ jobs that came up. But beyond that not a clue. I’m assuming he was recommended to Ireland via Barry, who’s no fool.

Not holding out much hope for a result against Belgium but hopefully we see further improvements and give them a bit of a game. I'm interested to see how Kelleher does.

Are our friendlies still on Sky? It's a feckin Liberty.

There is just no end to James McClean is there?

Kenny's kids of the future yet he seems to start every time

Lovely goal took a deflection yes but he set it up well and made good contact.

He looks a very good player every time i see him

Thought Belgium were going to kill us in that half. Fair play to the lads for getting themselves back into the game with a very good goal

Ogbenne MOTM for me the kids a decent talent. What a cracking header from Browne though. The guy deserves a shot in the PL
As well as for Ireland, I've seen him live for Preston a few times over the last few years and I think he's well short of PL level. He's a good, solid Championship pro but I think he'd struggle with that step up.

Great work by Ogbenne to keep the ball in and a good cross. Lovely header from Browne

I was at the match in that corner where he kept that ball in. What great effort and application to go keep it in. He busted his arse

Would Rashford have done that? No.

Ffs was that last line necessary? Also Rashford doesn't play for Ireland

Yeah in this hypothetical scenario where Rashford is Irish, he's probably delighted to get out of the toxic environment for United and be the star player somewhere else and works as hard as anyone, for all we know. Look at Bale for Wales vs Bale for Real Madrid.

That's a pity
In fairness, my opinions are slightly undercut by the fact that I was once the guy who insisted Ben Foster would be a great United keeper, one of the reasons being that he could “kick the ball a country mile” so there’s every chance I’m just a luncatic pressing things on my phone and hoping for the best.

Toxic fans, a few years struggling and we have gotten so many of these.

A thread nothing to do with United and yet they can't help themselves

It's what came into my head at the time when I was watching. I thought I wish Rashford worked so hard. It's a valid opinion.

You've no right to call me toxic.
Must be a top red. Apologies if my opinion is out of place on a fecking opinion forum

Ok but it's just tired reading United players repeatedly getting abuse especially when it's on a thread nothing to even do with them.

Rashford is just going through a bad year for a team that's struggling he's 24 and scored over 100 top class goals.

Give him a break and he will be back. We have bigger problems
