Carragher sided with Neville, so that's 2 of the largest profile pundits in agreement on said issue. You can try and paint it like Neville is way out on a limb but it's clearly not the case. I think it's fairly natural for United fans to feel a bit aggrieved seeing the players swan off to Dubai to watch sporting events in gaudy jewelry after their utterly abject performances this season. Why do you think there is so much hostility surrounding everything to do with United at the moment? The club is a shambles and the players aren't pulling their weight - worse still, they don't even seem like they care. Rashford in particular isn't even doing the basic stuff like running, despite being paid £250k a week. So yeah, I'd say there are legitimate questions to be asked about some of the player's mentality. What, like that they shouldn't be seen in public because they went out of the CL?
He tweets about the govt yeah - yet he's a huge capitalist and business magnate, has a carefully curated brand and PR image, and when it comes to footballing opinions, for example: states the importance of managerial continuity whilst firing them every 6 months.
Has he ever proclaimed himself as a dyed-in-the-wool socialist, or is this just another stick of yours to beat him with? He's given literal quotes about how Labour needs to not only look after the left, but to come to the centre. Besides, you can still be entrepreneurial and hold left-wing ideals and want a fairer, more equal society, you know? As far as I know, most of his business interests are in hospitality. If he pays his employees a fair rate and improves areas without bullying smaller independents, what's the problem?
