I love the attacking spirit but I can't help but notice that we're getting worse as the season progresses, with his attacking approach and playing style by now basically being to throw shit at the wall for 90 minutes and see what sticks. Rather annoying. He will have to adapt his 'philosophy', else he won't win anything of note. Let's see if he can adapt, and coach the adaptation.

It is crazy how some of the top hipster choice managers failed so badly this year, yet there is little blowback to that. Yet if the non hipster choice failed the way they did, there would be countless threads and meme on the internet. Nagelsmann loosing to Villarreal is an embarrassment even more so than Ole lost in the final as bayern had two legs to try and defeat them. Nagelsmann should be on thin ice if he doesn't improve bayern significantly next season. This wasn't even their worse defeat of the season. I recalled bayern loosing 5-0 to mochgladbach in the cup. So, I don't understand what Nagelsmann is doing over there and I can't really say much as I don't watch bayern often

The team footballing aspect of Flick to Naglesmann seems a major difference. Bayern come across as very ordinary in their performances. I think Hansi Flick was for periods the best manager around. Some of the football he produced eclipsed the showings of the likes of City and Liverpool, best attacking play I've witnessed since Peps Barcelona team.

However, Nagelmann said Hernandez got injured and he had to come off. He decided to bring Davies because of his speed to counter Villarreal's substitution.

Pep in his 4th season went out to Lyon. But now Naggelsman is a fraud.
He's one of the best. Surprisingly, not the hipster's choice despite showing everything else and more than some of the cult hero managers have. He was hard done during his final season by some bad luck with injuries, otherwise, Bayern, under him, played some of the most complete football I've ever seen.
no way around it, it's a disaster how he managed to fail in each cup, to a fairly limited sides. it's not like he's managing very young and inexperienced side that is just learning stuff and will get better in about 3-4 years. all hype so far, I'm afraid.
Why did flick leave? Surely it wasn't just to manage the NT? He is still relatively young.

Surely the job is his whenever he wants to get back to club football? Though his record as manager didn't seem all that great until his stint at Bayern (which was initially an interim position) at 53 years of age.
Best to get Ten Hag sewn up ASAP before Bayern come sniffing around. 
He had his best time as assisstant manager of the NT (including the WC win 2014), so it makes sense for him to want that job. And he quite publicly clashed with their doF Salihamidzic.

He needs time, coaching a team like Bayern isn't like coaching Leipzig, it's almost a different job but... he really needs to shut up (Salihamidzic as well).

His only faults are that he supposedly pushed Flick out of the club and that he really struggles to formulate coherent sentences. So who knows why people jump at the chance to blame him.
That's just Bayern's default stance. The press would be hounding them for turning the club soft if they didn't talk like that. The more interesting question is why they think it's a good idea to have Brazzo represent their club to the public.
Yet another example of how working 'miracles' with a lesser budget doesn't always translate to blowing the world away on bigger funds (as we keep hearing how scary Klopp would be with a blank cheque).

Earlier in the season we had injury and covid problems to explain away the wacky lineups and incoherent performances, but right now we have most key players available yet chaos and mediocrity prevails. Worrying state of things.

No surprises that the most vocal critics on here are all extremely pro-Ole, for the most part. It's hilarious that this group regularly thrash other managers, while they vehemently defended a seriously underwhelming 3-years of Ole. Classic Caf
