I don’t think so. If he continues at this pace they should keep him out and hope Ferrari keep Le Clerc stuck behind Sainz.

Their plan will be to give him new tyres to make use of DRS in the last 5 laps

He was in his tail for 10 laps or so, he is obviously quicker, even with damaged car.

Sainz kept him within DRS zone, which was why Leclerc's gap to Hamilton dropped drastically once Sainz pitted and he didn't have that advantage.

There is a reason why Leclerc is constantly moaning and asking for team orders because he can't overtake on merit today.

Just overtake him if you're capable, and stop bitching and asking for team orders to help you.

"We are free to fight" 20 minutes later pretty much shows that he wasn't whiny cnut, but actually quite polite when asking them what to do, since they obviously haven't allowed the overtaking before this.

Cars on the softs lasted like 10 laps, so this would be very unlikely.

If they can go long enough maybe softs, but I'm not sure how long they'll last. These softs are the hards of the last race so aren't exactly "hard"
