Did Chelsea create anything first half? It's feels like Chelsea don't even create many chances, let alone be able to finish them.
They badly needed some depth to rotate the first XI but they spunked £100m on Scammaca who isn't that good, Cornet, and £40m on Aguerd and Areola in defense. Moyes is usually good in the transfer window but it's a bit of a waste of money when not one of your signings is as good as your existing XI.

I did wonder if some clubs would try to come out of preseason with all guns blazing and get as many points on the board before the WC. Then it becomes a war of attrition to the end of the season. Or maybe they are gradually bringjng them up to fitness and managing them knowing the WC will have an impact but they are trying to minimise that impact post WC.Chelsea, what the hell?
