Premier League Gameweek 20-21

Eddie Howe has gone from being a manager who makes neat attacking football and cannot organise a defence to save his life a la Roberto Martinez to shithouse attritious football that barely concede a la Diego Simeone.

Should be booked for even going into the box after a penalty is given.

Yep, you see it more and more these days that players are messing up the pitch around the penalty spot. Should be a yellow immediately.

Do any of you actually ever watch football? He touched the ball twice in a row from a restart. You are not allowed to do that. There is nothing wrong with the rules in this case.

Newcastle are a jammy side aren’t they?

They are worse than jammy, they are full on scummy. Dark arts, time wasting, hardly any offensive players on the field. I wonder how much good will being a new team at the top will buy them. They are horrible to watch.

it's such a stupid rule - it should be a retaken penalty. if you slip, it's a free kicj against you, wiping out the advantage of being given a penalty. which cretins come up with these rules
So John Terry should have been allowed to retake that pen in the CL final shootout with us then? cmon

By letter of law you’re probably right

English referees need to apply the law of common sense a bit more though. Obviously wasn’t intentional

But the result is a deflected shot which would make it that much harder for keepers to save. As soon as he hit it, you knew something was wrong

Nah, the rule is perfectly fine. There are too many grey areas in football. It is much better to have a either 'wrong-or-right' rule.

Imagine if you start allowing second touches. You would end up with all kinds of nonsense with players trying to take advantage of it.

The way the dirty oil bastards are behaving is off the scale.
Not looking forward to our visit there...

By that logic, our goal yesterday should have been disallowed. We want consistency and that was the right decision

I wonder where they've got it from? Howe's Bournmouth wasn't like this, and wasn't Bruce the manager of Newcastle before Howe? You'd think Mourinho was in charge of these

Hardly any offensive players? Are you serious?

Didn’t even look like mitrovic slipped there, looked like he just misplaced his standing foot and kicked the ball off it

How the feck can you double touch a penalty at this level? The only circumstance I can give benefit of the doubt is if it’s wet as feck and a monsoon is happening.
