You do realise that 4th placed Leipzeig can't touch the ball against a City team that are very much 2nd best in the PL? Bayern are 4 points ahead of this shite? Doesn't say much for me. Funnily enough the teams representing the PL are actually terrible this year. City are a shadow of themselves and Chelsea and Liverpool are absolutely shite. Still Bayern will barely touch a shite City team.
A pity he wasn't that super in the world cup.Porto have a super keeper! Phenomenal save by Diogo Costa to deny Bastoni
This is based on nothing. European football is different. City struggled against many shit teams in the league, does that mean those teams would beat Bayern too ?
They played at walking pace. Look at the way Arsenal play, and the advantages of not playing in CL.That was never an issue for Serie A teams in 80s and 90s.
Competitive league doesn't have to be throw away games in Europe.

What PL has is more expensive players that aren't necessarily better, except the ones at top 3 teams, than players in other leagues, especially considering that they bring these exact same players literally from Bundesliga,La Liga, and Ligue 1.
Yup, can't wait for tomorrow when Ajax and United play. This is far from a CL evening.

You really seem to know what you're talking about.
Reads a bit like you're teaching elementary school mathematics with all these football calculations to back up your point.
Apt descriptionScrappy game this, Porto under Conceicao are like an Atletico Madrid that plays football
Yeah it is strange how many runs he makes and no one goes for it, must be annoying.
City doesn’t really play progressive as one would expect. I guess part of it is inability? So many times (not just this game), when I watch them and they seem intent on passing just to pass. Taking long time on the ball (Mahrez especially) so the opposition is able to close down spaces, too many back and sideway passes, no forward momentum and strange decision making all around by so many players.
Brighton/Newcastle/Fulham... I mean I'd get your point if it's solely on City but those other teams you mentionI honestly think they would. I see this Bayern team struggling against the likes of Brighton, Newcastle and Fulham. Especially if they had to deal with the PL schedule. Leipzeig are 4 points behind them and they look like a relegation team against City and we all know this years City are far behind what they usually are. Dortmund got outplayed by a terrible Chelsea too, despite their win. Its a bad look for the Bundesliga.
Dude,City have been knocked out by Lyon, Tottenham, and Monaco in the UCL.
Bayern would give them a proper game, no matter how underwhelming they look on Bundesliga.
Again, PL have more expensive players, cause they have more money, still they never dominated Europe during their rich period like La Liga did durin 2011-2018.
Brilliant save vs Calhanoglu tooPorto have a super keeper! Phenomenal save by Diogo Costa to deny Bastoni
Well, you can hardly blame an Ajax supporter for looking forward to an Ajax match. Also I'm paid by VDS to keep Ajax relevant on United forums. We need Kudus and Timber money this summer. You might also want to look into Conceicao for the transfer window in 2024.Sneaky, how you put Ajax in there with United, knowing nobody on here watched that 1st leg match. Ajax weren't exactly CL level either in that first leg either.
Porto really are Atletico Madrid lite
Brighton/Newcastle/Fulham... I mean I'd get your point if it's solely on City but those other teams you mentionFootball isn't arithmetics, you cannot just say if "a" beats "b" and "b" beats "c" then it's automatic that "a" will beat "c". Football is a more complicated than that. The PL got a nice humbling last season and last night but it's still not enough. The PL is the best league for sure but the team in them are too overrated

I think Bayern are the best German team. I don't think this current Bayern, under an average manager, would deal with playing those teams week in week out. I think if Bayern were playing Liverpool last night they would have lost. I think Dortmund were lucky to beat an awful Chelsea team. I think Leipzieg can't touch the ball against City and look like a Championship team. Hence I think that a very poor Bayern (the worst we've seen in years) might struggle to finish top 4 in England, a highly competitive league where Chelsea and Liverpool have been 9th and 10th at times.

Edit- also Napoli made Frankfurt look like they didn't belong either.

All fair points except this weird prediction that Liverpool would beat Bayern. The Liverpool that's been shit all season long, the one that got humiliated last night ? People assume PL midtable teams are better than their counterparts in other league cause they have more expensive players... completely forgetting that these exact same players come from these leagues, and are more expensive than usual cause it's a PL team buying them, so they get charged more for some average players.
Just look at how shit are Everton and Chelsea, and how much money they have spent, that's without mentioning Liverpool literally paid 100m for a meh player like Darwin Nuñez.

If an argument is made for the best team in the PL to beat the rest of Europe in one off or 2 legged tie, I could understand it. However those midtable PL teams are just as good/bad as the rest of Europe's. What they've been doing in European competition for years proves thatPeople assume PL midtable teams are better than their counterparts in other league cause they have more expensive players... completely forgetting that these exact same players come from these leagues, and are more expensive than usual cause it's a PL team buying them, so they get charged more for some average players.

Conceição? The story here in Portugal is that he hasn't been that good so far. Surprised you mentioned him.Well, you can hardly blame an Ajax supporter for looking forward to an Ajax match.
