Champions League Round of 16 (14th Feb - 15th Mar)

Just looking at thread now. Feck I missed second half. Yes, Grealish is a scrote. I know, he doesnt pass to Haaland, wonder if there's something happening in that dressing room. Delighted to see them lose clean sheet. Did look like a handball when they played it back.

Hands appear to be in front of the body, so don't increase volume. Need a different angle

The amount of media attention his father gave towards the Keane tackle meant, he could never really join United. Plus no cl.

It would have been good, but we have seen this before with Ruud. He scored a lot but we didn't win much. We need a proper number 9 who is able to hold the ball and also score. Basically someone like Martial when he is on top form. The 2015-16 one and we are grand.

Just hope Haaland has this problem at City.

PL "We have the worst VAR in the world"
CL "Ya think?"

Absolutely blatant. I don't know what handball is anymore. VAR has been a disgrace to the game. How its used is just incredibly stupid. Its as if football has very few actual set in stone rules and its all up to interpretation.

PL is overrated no doubt. Favourites to win this years CL is Napoli or PSG in my opinion. If PSG dont turn around the tie then Bayern take their place as favourites together with Napoli.

Napoli is a bit thin though so if they get injuries on some key-players they would become seriously weakened. But they have the best first-team right now in CL.

PSG though if they turn around this tie against Bayern with players like Messi, Mbappe and Neymar they will be hard to beat.

Man City has reached their prime and are going downhill.

How is he still alive??? :lol::lol: i wasn't even emotionally invested in the game and after 5 minutes I had this barely controllable urge to just get in the car, drive to the stadium, then into the stadium so i could run him over

Never seen a more irritating man before

He is a professional cnut.
A good player as well (not today, he has been with physical problems recently).

Dani, half playboy, half Johan Cruijff.

I'll tell you what, I hate that Alvarez is at City and not with us. What a waste of a talent to sit on the bench watching a guy who doesn't fit City at all. Wonder does he regret the move at all.

City made no subs? Pep is obviously unhappy about something. Weird vibes from them recently. Probably the investigation and maybe other things.

In this case, though, its Meltchester Asterix the greatest cheats of all time. So who cares?

In these dark days for goalkeepers at least Diogo Costa and Onana put some respect in the profession tonight. Some absurd saves

Liverpool can still make the UCL, they have 2 games in hand, and getting eliminated by Madrid will force them to focus solely on the PL.
Na, they’re shit. They might go on 2 games winning runs but that how mid table form works.

To be fair three of them are dog shit this season. 3 horrible drop offs who probably won’t even make CL this year between them
At least one of those three teams will qualify the next seasons Champions League imo. It's between Spurs and Liverpool for me (I think Newcastle will drop off a bit more).

Mid-table form can sneak you into the top four in the right circumstances. Two years ago we were 8th with 10 games to go and ended up third, taking 26 points from a possible 30. We do still have Arsenal, Spurs United (all home), City and Chelsea (both away) to play but I don't think we'll fail to win all of those.

If we were to beat Palace and Wolves in the next two then I think we might have a shot at sneaking 4th. I do agree that we've been playing terribly all season though. It would be quite the turn around if we were to sneak in.

You'll comfortably get 4th. You are simply better than Newcastle and Spurs.

Is there any recourse for City on that obvious handball? Shocking decision.

I'm sure it's been said before, but it is shocking how the entire City squad ignores Haaland's movement and runs. It's equally shocking that Alvarez doesn't get minutes.

Yep agreed , Alvarez would have been better off and a 100% starter for us. Shame really.

I don’t think Newcastle or Spurs would crumble like pool did last night. They’d get beat but not embarrassed.

Honestly can't see Liverpool winning more than they lose/draw. I'm confident palace will get a result and wolves, defensively Liverpool are shit! Good luck
