My momma always said Fred was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to get. He was brilliant.

He's got it in him, somewhere. It's his mindset / mentality that limits him.

Luckily if anyone can unlock that, Erik can.

This man is a beast. His aggression and work rate are insane. Now with casemiro next to him, he has more freedom to go forward and contribute. Absolutely everywhere on the pitch. Fantastic
 
I've never known a player who so consistently goes from world beater to shit eater game by game. Watch him pass to every Newcastle player on Sunday
 
Absolutely brilliant today. He can be very patchy but to be fair he's mostly been very good this season. His workrate alone makes him a real fan favourite.
 
What a 2nd half, the fecker was everywhere from running behind oppo defenders to clearing header in our box and the goal just had to happen, terrible strike but he willed it into a goal :lol:
 
Worked very hard and came up with a big goal in a big match. Really fancied one tonight, along with Anthony had our most shots with 3 each

By no means one of my favourite players but he absolutely gave energy and hard running and helped to give a threat going forward, capped with the goal today. Wasnt a weak link when getting pressed this time out either, which may be the more important part than any of the rest.
 
Great performance. Nights like these are why he is a valuable squad player. He has a very specific set of skills that when used properly can make a difference in crucial matches.
 
Play to his strengths and keep him out of the DM position and I love him. Anywhere near the edge of our own box please no
 
I thought he was pretty sub par in the first half(which to be fair includes most of our team) but goodness me where did that second half come from! Unbelievable performance he put on.
 
Man of The Match, he was everywhere and didn't let their midfielders breath

Maybe derf starts as Fred is late to the game and then Fred actually comes on :lol:
 
Personifies "sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit". When he's good he's honestly ridiculously good.
 
Gradually becoming a much better player since EtH and Casemiro have arrived.

The pattern where we praise/ assassinate from game to game is exhausting. It's not a couple of individuals carrying us through this incredible run, it's a collective and every fecker is contributing. I've a pain in my hole defending Fred. Tonight he's King and Sancho and Wout are the assholes but it's 5 minutes since Sancho was scoring against Leicester and we all loved him. Maybe Fred misplaces a few passes against Newcastle and they'll all be back in telling me he's not fit for the shirt. I guarantee you Ten Hag loves him and there's a reason for that. This team will evolve and there'll be changes but everyone who's bursting themselves out there at the moment are part of that journey and deserve our support.

Consitently MOTM in the 4/6-7 games sure... hope that's a joke... why do I even try people will always come up with a BS like that.:wenger: He's our player of the month and one of the best players of the season, yet you will hear he's "just a good squad player" argument all over. He showed many times in big games not just lately or this season, that unlike others he absolutely performs against the likes of CIty, Spurs, Arsenal, second derby game against Leeds, Barcelona and that he's simply a key player.

Very similar to Herrera in that regard and in that he makes all of the dirty work and play quick clever football. Well rounded players will be alway underappreciated by people who never played football, but it's really annoying when it comes to just kneejerk reactions and really biased stuff.
 
I am never saying a bad word for this man again. Feck him and his inconsistent show ups, that was also a mis kick but a perfect fecking goal in a perfect fecking time. His attitude and effort deserve that, everything else I will learn to live with.
 
Been very impressive against some top midfielders. He's our player that gives everything.
 
Thank you Casemiro for once again keeping Fred the mad man away from our defensive third. I will forever be grateful.
 
Hes a funny one. Hes like a multiplier. When we are bad he is awful. When we are good he is outstanding.
