Premier League Gameweek 28

Chelsea absolutely throwing it all at Everton, interesting game so far!

Still not massively convinced by Felix's ability to score or assist enough to be a top forward. He's good to watch and very talented on the ball though.

Really awful game so far, we look nackered already. I know it’s not Dyche ball but we really need to just get the ball and keep it for a couple of minutes and get comfortable otherwise it’s going to be an easy 2 or 3 nil win for Chelsea.

it’s sad how shite Gana is now too. Has somehow gone to psg and forgot how to play football.

I realize that Sean Dyche knows how to steal points from a game but My Lord it is ugly football !!

Why the feck has the game been stopped because Chillwell had the ball hit his ankle ffs.

Jesus, Everton have really turned into Burnley. Absolutely brutal to watch, fouling at every opportunity and no interest in playing football.

Do you want them to try and go toe to toe with you in a footballing sense?

In this game, yeah. In other games we have been much better. When you’ve packed your defence and midfield it’s quite difficult to do anything with the ball with the gulf in quality.

Koulibaly and Enzo have been brilliant.

Pulisic has been really poor.

Why are Everton's attackers trying to dribble their way into the net?

João Felix instead of Weghorst and we would've been in the title race.

Why do our players, past and present, turn into prime Messi when they’re offside?

The deal was stupid though and I’m glad we stayed away from it.
£3m for Weghorst on a 6 month loan isn't exactly value for money either though. The gulf in quality between them is night and day.

That’s not the point though is it? both United and Arsenal pulled out of the Felix deal as it was so ridiculously bad, even more so with no option.

Agreed. Was the hangup the loan fee or were there forces at OT who felt Wout was a better fit for us than Felix? Or did Felix not want to come to OT?

The fee involved and wages was something like £16m (With no option to buy).

Both United and Arsenal weren’t interested at that price.

Thanks for the jinx

Wouldn’t be bad if he had won you the league. Would have paid for itself. Instead you spend £3m for the Aldi Peter Crouch and stick him in at 10. Somehow Felix would have been better regardless of fee.

It was a desperate move by Chelsea and something United would have taken more seriously under Woodward because of the shock and awe, rather than actual fit and balance of the squad, principles, etc.

And United have not been close to challenging for the title. Need to improve the team correctly and under the guidance of EtH. A temporary short cut solution that has zero guarantee of being "title challengers" is not what United are looking for.

United falling short of a title challenge this year won't be because they didn't sign Felix on a shit and desperate loan move, it's because they aren't ready to become a legit title winning team. Haven't earned it at all and there's so much to improve.
