hope we don't have ANOTHER cnut referee and VAR !!!!!

    Bloody hell. :(

So that's absences in all the areas of the spine - Varane, Casemiro, Eriksen, Martial. As well as Garnacho and VDB, and probably McTominay and Antony.

    DdG

    Shaw
    Martinez
    Lindelof
    AWB

    Sabitzer
    Fred
    Bruno

    Rashford
    Wout
    Antony

it's fine without Varane...he shouldn't be playing anyway

he'll have a couple weeks break now iwth the international window to recharge himself for the final 2 months of the season

Regardless of the result, I hope we have some ‘injuries’ that materialise at the end of the game.

    Especially Bruno, Rashford and Martinez

The fact he's retired from internationals so will have a couple of weeks rest coming up was a main reason why he should have been a nailed on starter for this one. Even more so than Martinez, who'll be travelling for two friendlies in South America.

Big loss, but hope it's nothing serious and he'll be fine for after the break.

We are down to bare bones in the midfield. Sabitzer - Fred - Bruno is not a midfield that inspires confidence. Varane out as well, it seems. And to make matters worse, Palninha is back for them. They will carve us open effortlessly. That being said, I don't care if we lose. We will be eliminated by City anyway later on, so might as well save us the trouble. And between the fight for Top 4, and the Europa League, we really don't need the extra games.

It means don't play the 2nd team and go full send

Okay, just genuinely interested what it means if someone doesn't accept, say in this case an extra time win. How does the unacceptance manifest itself in case we do.

Think Maguire will play to be honest considering they have Mitrovic. Say what you want about him but he's better in the air than Lindelof.

Why is it every game we play there’s comments like these ? I reckon if we were playing Newport County tomorrow they’d be comments like above . Not having a go at you posters but In general .
We are at home . Our record is fantastic there.
Relax lads we are going back to Wembley :D

We do have the toughest draw in the quarter finals, by some margin, but the way people treat it like we're Grimsby Town playing City, it's a fecking joke.

And do have a go at these posters, call them out, do they even support United?

    I bet he won’t.
Maguire is clearly ahead of Lindelof in the pecking order.
Up until now he really isn't. They've tended to alternate starts pretty much all season, with neither clearly ahead. When we bring one off the bench it does tend to be Maguire late on to help out with a possible aerial bombardment, but otherwise ETH has treated them equally.

Will be interesting to see if Maguire's good performance in the last match will see him get the nod again, which will indicate that he may have moved ahead in the pecking order in ETH's eyes. Or it may just be to help deal with Mitrovic as he's obviously strong in the air.

Even with the injuries, we should still have enough to beat Fulham at home... should

Honestly, Fulham aren't very good despite their impressive league position. We should be comfortably beating them. I'm going 3-1 United.

I’d put Sabitzer in. Guy shows no emotions, the look of a deadly killer.
Right on. Bruno is a crazy fecker, he could be great. Maguire looks like he can take a few punches. Lots of options.

Tell me which of the other draws is tougher, or even close?
If you are Burnley and had to go away to city is harder that Utd getting Fulham at home

its also a harder game for Fulham

Midfield is gonna be wide open…United chaos-ball on a Sunday afternoon.

    C’mon!!!
You know the funny thing, I believe Sabitzer and Fred can be a viable midfield. Its all about the instruction the manager gives them. Ten Hag likes one of the two midfielders to be very advanced for some reason and that is what leaves us so open to counters. If he told them both to stay home and leave the attacking to the front four, we would have a much better presence in midfield.

Yeah, you don't understand this game do you? :wenger:

Easy draws for City and Brighton, Sheffield v Blackburn, I don't know, pretty even, I guess.

We're the only ones facing in form Premier League opposition.

Still, despite the defeatist attitude on this Forum, I expect us to overcome Fulham, at OT, even with a depleted squad.

    Fulham aren’t in form.

Expecting a few goals here. 3-0 to us, rashford x2 and Bruno.

You said Man Utd had by far the hardest quarter final draw. I pointed out this was not true, both Burnley and Fulham would argue they got harder draws

if you had said out of just city, Utd and Brighton we had the hardest draw I’d have agreed with you

Seems like Sabitzer is always plying in a makeshift team for one reason or another.

Tricky to actually form a judgement on his style until he gets a run of games.
