In the same way we have a strong chance of coming 2nd next year or challenging - if we get players that improve our squad. Maddison got 10 goals and 9 assists in that tumescent side, he will clearly improve Spurs. How did Kane do when he didn't get his City move? He'll still bag for them.
They were around the top four for most of the season, with a good manager (jury's out on that one, but he's an exciting one) and some good signings, of course they can.
Maybe because Levy categorically told us to do one or said it's 150 mil. What do you expect us to do then? Waste another summer chasing a target we have no hope of landing?
I'd say Kane holds feck all. That bold cnut doesn't give a feck about what Kane wants or thinks. Kane can agree whatever with whichever but if that cnut says feck that then that's it.
Imo the whole situation is quite simple. Bayern offer 80m then Kane goes to Bayern. United offer 100m then Kane goes to United. Else this will be dragged till the last days of the window I reckon.
Only after a summer of dithering and a complete annihilation against Brighton and Brentford did the club shit itself at the thought of their new man going into the new season with a noose around his neck to the point they deemed it acceptable to spend a fortune on players they wouldn’t have sanctioned otherwise.
People are completely within their rights to be taking aim at the club suits already in the window.

Listen, I will be firmly standing with you if the situation stays the same, it's just a little early for me. Look at the other clubs - there's lots of 'here we go's' and agreements etc but not many players holding up new shirts. I will give it a bit more time before I jump on the club as I have thought that we have started to act a bit better since Woodward has gone.

It depends on Levy obviously, and 100m is a reasonable offer given Hazard went to Madrid for the same amount and the player is about the same age (not include inflation). However there is no sign or rumor Spurs is looking for or link to any replacement.
He scored 17 - his joint lowest total since 2013-14. And he looked half the player for England in the Euros that summer.
Of course they can do better than 3 of United, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle and Chelsea? That is incredibly unlikely. Better than one of them, that is a possibility (but still somewhat unlikely I would say), but 3?

We indeed should. If my memory serves me right ETH has made it clear that Kane is his top target. But I think we don't want to pay that much and still trying to bargain. We have a quite limited budget this summer anyway. So unless Bayern or someone else suddenly offer 80m or so we won't do anything but wait imo.

Imo that bold cnut is bluffing with his "we won't sell Kane" so he might get the max amount from Kane. And it's not a very good idea to publicly looking for Kane's replacement while keeping that stance I think. And they already have Richarlison who could play there and cost them 60m anyway. He's been quite shit last season and I don't watch Spurs much but imo he's a quite decent forward.

I agree we should. CF is is our main priority this summer, and there's no one else we could possibly go for. Sort that out and see how things will stand until the end of the transfer window.

I think they can I don't know whether they will. Did you think Villa and Brighton would 6 and 5 points away from Liverpool this season? Did we think that Arsenal would be top of the league for most of the season? Spurs aren't as bad as everyone seems to think, season before last they were miles ahead of us, things can change very quickly.

The thing is, people don't understand the term backing. The club spent money, yes but its not backing Ten Hag, its incompetence. If you pay £85m for a player someone competent could have negotiated for £60m, its not backing.
Surprise Surprise... the two biggest signings last season came in August, after a poor start to the season, where we showed how desperate we are.
If the club wanted to back the manager, they would do it before the season starts, so he can get the players up to speed.
People dont understand the difference between panic and backing the manager.
With what money? It's been said again we have around 100-120 million all things considered, and Levy won't let us cheap out on spread payments because he doesn't want to sell to us. Even if he agrees to a fee with Bayern, let's say we match it, why would he sell to us? Even if Kane says I only want United there's nothing to stop Levy saying okay well it's Bayern or nothing.
Unless reports say otherwise, you all need to give up on this. We are too poor and Levy doesn't want to sell to us. None of this is going to change as much as you wish it.
Either we continue to chase a dead end on this for weeks on end or we manage to get a fee agreed and it's our entire summer budget gone on one 30 year old player with holes everywhere else in the squad and poor squad depth after another summer, again and again.

Well the question you have to ask is could say Taremi and Hojlund/Kolo-Muani be able to match his goal return. Being honest I have serious doubts we are even looking at signing two strikers
Yeah, I think they do have a strong chance, but I wouldn't bet my house on it. They have 2nd best striker in the league, realistically you should have a strong chance of finishing top 4 with that. Probably not next season, unfortunately what other option do we have? Hojlund and Kolo Muani might prove to be worth their price next season or the season after, personally I prefer that to be the case because it's investing in the long term rather than thinking getting Kane next season will help us catch City, when it won't, because our first 11 and squad depth won't be anywhere near enough.
Not only that, but Levy will not sell to us, I can imagine the only scenario he would is if we offer some obscene money like around 150, but we're obviously not going to do that.
Hanging around for all those years at Spurs to go to Bayern who will be going for their 12th title in a row, madness.
What is with all the public reports of clubs essentially tapping up players? Have the rules changed? Otherwise, how is Tuchel permitted to apparently have a chat with Kane about joining Bayern? Alternatively, does that mean Spurs have given him permission to have that discussion (indicating that they will sell)?
IMO being the highest goal scoring in PL history, which will stand for decades, holds much more weight than a league title. Especially a non English one.
