It was time to move on from De Gea for a number of reasons but to pretend that Onana hasn’t been a massive let-down would by lying.

What’s most worrying so that his shot stopping technique seems flawed to me.

As well as that we are in one of those troughs where the team doesn’t take a mistake very well. They need to the GK to help keep them in games at the minute not to make a massive error.

We should have brought in a keeper to succeed De Gea while phasing Dave out. Throwing Onana into the lion’s den was madness. I stated so at the time and hold to it now. He looked shattered in pre-season and is deteriorating with every match.
