Watching the disallowed goal replay, and it makes no sense. It would be one thing if the initial call was offside but how is it clear and obvious that Maguire was impeding the play? He slides in at the same time as the defender (whilst making no contact with the ball, of course.) And in no way does it look like the defender would've blocked Garnacho's cross or even prevented Garnacho from getting the ball had it not been for Maguire.

As I mentionned before, the rule is, is Maguire "challenging an opponent for the ball or clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent". It gives enough leeway for the ref to rule this goal out.
