I’ll let him off with that sacking. Not the others though or the way the club was running previously. And yeah on the face of it was a justified sacking. Shocked it took that long actually. Although makes sense now…. Nev wasn’t there !

Sure he still manages to give his opinion! With Wood being ex-United they might possibly have given him a little longer as well.

The latest series on Sky has just started actually, first one was last night with 2 more parts tonight and tomorrow. Haven't watched it yet but assume that will cover Neville's departure.
 
He's tough going on United games. Better as a pundit.

about thirty seconds apart he says United just havent settled at all, then says hes infuriated by onana standing on the ball and slowing down a pass. As if not settling and having a goalkeeper slow things a little arent related.

He's like a lot of us though. This team is an absolute bore to watch and we have nothing to show. He clearly doesn't like most of the players and I don't get the sense he likes ETH much either.

Is it painful to listen to? But the United games are a chore to watch too

The Antony/Mahrez quote as above was ridiculous though. Literally their only similarity is they are both left footed right wingers.

Why can't Neville just commentate on the match and not forever be going on about external stuff. Leave that stuff to your podcast.

He was saying he's not going to become a worldy, but could hit Mahrez type level.
 
Neville and Redknapp on Sky losing the run of themselves with that Forest win. "great" Forest performance? in reality they were impressive with how clinical they were with two goals two shots on target but along with United they very much played their part in one of the lowest quality games I've watched this season.

He’s crap. Slightly better in the studio but still not great, rumour was in his early days at Sky he had someone feeding him talking points in his earpiece. I wouldn’t be surprised since I actually enjoyed listening to him back then, but have found him to be largely insufferable for a while now.

The comment is stupid and quite disrespectful to Mahrez tbh so no wonder fans are getting annoyed. To put it into perspective if Antony continues with the same level of performances after 10 seasons he'll end up with less G/A than Mahrez managed during Leicesters title winning season.

You will struggle to name 5 better right wingers in premier league history than Mahrez. You think Antony has shown anything to end up anywhere near that level.

I can’t understand what’s happening there though. They haven’t spent any transfer money in a few transfer windows

It reeks of the class of 92 not devoting as much to the club as they once did but I’d like to know the real story

He’s simply trying to gauge a benchmark for a potential good winger that Utd can ask Antony to be like.

The guys a commentator on sky sports mate. The comment in general is doing the rounds on social media and everyone is talking about it and you can understand where they're coming from, whether you respect him or not is irrelevant. It's the equivalent of Carragher saying Nunez might not be a Ronaldo but could become a Rooney/RVN type player, pretty sure there'd be similar reaction.
 
Not often I disagree with Gary Neville in fairness, personally I’d be happy if he had a big stake in the club. From a business prospective he’s done very well in life. Lives and breaths United and only has the clubs interest at heart.

That's not the way I interpreted it. I've never heard him say Anthony could be as good as Mahrez, more that he should model his game on him, mainly to mix his game up more to go on to his right side the way he does

Don't want to get into a debate with you about a top 5 tbh but the fact that you've had to include players that have played the majority of their time in the prem on the left kinda proves my point that it was a howler of a comparison. You should've included Hazard though if you included Lws.
