You have to admit it’s a daft comparison though. There’s just no similarity between the two. One is the greatest manager ever, arguably, and the other won the league once. It’s a ludicrous leap of logic to compare them in any way.
How you can put Pep above him is beyond me, he took over a mid table side with a bang average squad and got them to the Champions League final on his 1st attempt and won it on his 2nd attempt, meanwhile Pep took charge of a team that were technically the joint 3rd best in Europe having just reached the Champions League Semi's and despite being given an unlimited transfer budget took 5 years to reach a Champions League final.
Nobody compared them. They simply suggested that if one were to make a list of the 10 greatest PL managers Klopp would be in there together with Fergie and the others. I don't see what so upsetting about that.

He isnt though, Klopp worked his way to the top through Mainz and Dortmund while Pep has only had 3 jobs where he had top squads and huge budgets.

Agree with this. I think there’s a lot to be said for the managers that are prepared to go to the biggest jobs, where winning is the only acceptable outcome. Klopp doesn’t seem to have that in him.

If Liverpool had of gotten Pep instead of Klopp he would never have achieved what Klopp has.
Well obviously it's not decided yet. Klopp could win 10 more league titles and a couple of CL's. But I deem that quite unlikely so I'm still gonna go with what I said only that I will rephrase fact to almost certainty.

Its not its a fact, the fact Pep needed 1bn of players to reach a Champions League final after inheriting a team that had just reached the semi's and having an unlimited transfer budget while Klopp reached the final on his first attempt proves it.

But his lineup has gotten worse, Liverpool are really nothing special at the moment, only a few good players.

I disagree. Fergie would have won it. He would have found a way, he always did. He reinvented himself and the team several times.
no one is saying Klopp didn’t do well but I stand by my comments. He was brought in to win Liverpool the league which he did, and every other cup too. Once he had done that the expectations were raised and he was expected to take Liverpool above us in league titles and he didn’t even get them level. So as I said he didn’t knock us off our perch.
Pep or no pep, city or no city, he didn’t leave Liverpool with them top of the tree, and one league title in 9 years is not what he was meant to do for them.
Klopp had Pep to contend with, Ferguson had Wenger, Mourinho and a resurgent City to contend with too.

Are you telling me a manager who was there for 5 years and won a CL and PL at the time of their rebuild, was revered by the fanbase, had no say in the composition of his team? Are we only going to give him plaudits and absolve him of any responsibilities in their decline?
The mental gymnastics surrounding Klopp is incredible, and I say this as someone who watched a lot of his Dortmund and defended him when half the Caf still thought he was a ‘hipster’ manager.
The hardest thing for a manager to fight against is stagnation, and in that regard, only Guardiola can claim to rival Fergie, other greats, the likes of Ancelotti and Mourinho, and now Klopp, all went through big slumps in their career when their method stopped working and had to recharge or seek pastures new.
