Wow the poll got changed real quick
Even if he clings on his credibility is shot to pieces after this point if Ineos take this long to decide he hasnt been quite bad enough to fire. Probably gone by christmas either way
Kinder for both sides to just move on now
I'm starting to get the funny feeling, a familiar one, that we are -still- run by muppets.Still can't decide if this delay says they are going to keep him or have decided to sack and now speaking to candidates behind the scenes
I’m still on holiday. Thanks.Big day today.
I don’t think so. Even if he is staying they won’t prolong his contract until December.I didn't think they'd bother announcing anything if he was staying, but then I remembered he's only got one year left on his contract so surely if they decide to keep him he'll be signing a new deal anyway? So at least there should be an announcement whether it's keep or sack

Technically INEOS doesn't have to resolve ETH's situation so quickly for 3 main reasons:First thing we need to do is to resolve his future. Just get it done, we don't have all summer INEOS! We can discuss incomings / outgoings if we know who the coach is going to be.
Do you think? I didn't think it was very common for a manager to go into his final year without signing a new contract, can't say I've paid too much attention to it before now though admittedly
But they didn't high press last season? The system from hell is a 23-24 innovation. In effect we've been deep both seasons but this year it wasn't supposed to be like that.
He could walk.Technically INEOS doesn't have to resolve ETH's situation so quickly for 3 main reasons:
1. Their strategy of not letting the manager to dictate player transfer activities means they can focus on the player transfer before making the manager decision
2. Euro is coming, most 1st team players will not be available to train with ETH or the new manager
3. Give time for themselves to negotiate with several potential new managers. ETH is not going anywhere until this is done anyway
It seems not fair to ETH but what is his other option but to wait. He did not do a good job last season to have much bargaining power with the INEOS people.
Did we sign Gaitan yet?
Firstly, have we? Same journos said he was gone that said he’d met these people.
Even just assuming they met some folks - all it means is they were thinking of it at one point but it was some time ago now - the reality is ETH remains our head coach and there’s been no real news on that at all apart from all the noise which came from that tier 3 guardian journalist who isn’t even that good a source for Chelsea.
Maybe he can still be sacked this summer but it just feels to me like Ratcliffe might want to make a bit of a point here re media. No announcements, no leaks, business as usual and a signal we’re not a circus for them to make money off anymore.
Do you think they’re waiting for him to return from his holiday? Some clarity either way would be nice wouldn’t it.
I'm starting to get the funny feeling, a familiar one, that we are -still- run by muppets.
They are providing us with the structure though.INEOS will have a lot to do to convince me otherwise. So far their sports investments have all been failures.
And go where? Besiktas? He could walk.
It’s been a few weeks. It seems highly unlikely there’s so some managerial review going on more than a day or two surely? Most likely, yes.
Some time ago? Everthing was pointing to us talking to managers in the last few weeks.
What's real news? A club announcement?
Might just be exactly what INEOS wants, get rid free of charge. He could walk.
Seems abit odd though doesn’t it. “Erik hope you had a lovely holiday, anyway pack your bags and off you chop”. I don’t think INEOs will do nothing, he’s staying, they have to give him a public backing because the uncertainty hanging around is distracting.Do you think they’re waiting for him to return from his holiday?
He could walk.
That would be a blessing and would force INEOS hand which I'd love to see.He could walk.
I’m still on holiday. Thanks.
Don't rush coming back.I’m still on holiday. Thanks.
Dunno normally it makes sense to sack them before their holiday. So then they take an holiday to recharge before looking for a new club.Do you think they’re waiting for him to return from his holiday?

True but the sneaky bald bastard did sneak off on holiday about an hour after we won the FA Cup. Wonder if he's tempted to stay there with his phone off until pre season so that they have no option but to keep himDunno normally it makes sense to sack them before their holiday. So then they take an holiday to recharge before looking for a new club.
I think Ineos will keep ETH without offering a new contract yet.
He will have until Dec to prove he deserve a contract extension. No more excuse on injuries, structure etc. It is his final chance for the next 6 months.
There is no rush to offer him that yet as I don't think any other clubs are desperate to poach him at this point. I hope they don't repeat a mistake of giving a big extension prematurely like what we did for Ole.
Completely agree to be honestIt’s not reassuring in the slightest that this is still an ongoing situation. fecking shambles is putting it lightly.
