i was never Smith's biggest fan, but i have to disagree with you about him there. Milan will try to keep possession and build from the back. if Smith can get amongst them the way he did against Roma, that will put an end to it and stop their rhythm. this is why i like Fletcher in central midfield.

unfortunately, we don't have enough players for all this to happen :(
 
Such is the nightmare I genuinely think if Evra is fit enough for the bench then we should gamble and start with him - Fletch at RB throws a real spanner in the works...

Is he out or what?

If he plays Fletcher needs to play in midfield in any way SAF sees fit. He's needed with his constant running and tackling.
 
To be honest, the result of this match imo balances on whether or not Evra starts. Should be a fantastic game though, i just might have no nails left by the end of the night :S

I don't accept anything but win in this match... I'm feckin tired of Milan in Champions League.

Last time we were knocked because of Caroll, now it's time to kick their arse out of the Champions League.

Caroll had nothing to do with us not scoring any goals in the tie.

We paid the price for giving them too much respect.

Pace and belief and finishing will see us through to face Chelsea in the final (although Pool are playing the best football atm)
 
We have no choice but to keep those spaghetti eaters out from our defence while Ronaldo and Rooney will have to be ready for quick and deadly action which will lead us to goal...

Yes, pace and belief and wise playin in the center of the pitch, we need to rule in this sector for all costs to have a chance of a good striking .

After Newcastle clash I feel Chelsea won't beat Liverpool... Liverpool is rested, without any worries or pressure.

Making to the final will be already a great thing to do... For now everything depends on our healthy players.

Some of injured players MUST be ready for the second leg...

After what I saw in this season we can be proud of United, no matter what will happen.

As I've mentioned elsewhere it is important to get a settled central defensive combo for the next couple of weeks at least. Frankly I don't see that working with Gaby. I'd prefer Wes and JOS. I think it's the latter's best position anyway. If Evra's fit play him at right back, despite the fact that he's predominantly left footed - so don't expect any surging runs down the right with accurate crosses off his right foot. I don't have too many worries about Fletch playing there - he'll do a job for us. We mustn't worry too much about this defence, after all they're all seasoned internationals not playes just out of the youth team. The bottom line is that we must take the game to Milan and get a two goal advantage if poss.

I've been thinkin about this game all feckin day. The closer it gets to kick off the more the butterflies act up. Gonna hit the gym when I get home, get rid of some of the nerves and then get back in time for kick off
