Some of our passing was a bit loose but in the last 25 minutes or so of the half we tightened it up and scored a very good goal.
Dont know where Ronnie was for their goal, should have pressured Cole. That said, both he and Rio probably should have done better.
Evras done well but I think Ronnie has done better on the left.

I do hate the way we have been conceeding stupid goals against good opposition. The defense really need to do some work this week. We don't want a season of concede score, concede score!!!!!

That Rooney booking was piss weak, I could understand if it were a culmination of his previous tackles PLUS an actual incident with Cech but he did nothing wrong on that occasion.
I don't know what Rio was trying achieve when they scored, he ran in at a 90 degree angle to Malouda's accelerating run. No chance he was ever going to be able to change direction if (when!) he missed the ball first time.

Agreed, we're breaking well.
Good performance so far, cant wait for some of the new lads to come in. We're missing a tidy Hargreaves sort of play and a bit of creativity and penetration that Anderson and Tevez could bring.
Or when we do anything that means Glen Johnson has to defend in some way

Bit of a wrestling match between Rio and Malouda in the box.Malouda won.
Better they get the shit calls done with while the game means nothing. Maybe, the refs watching this will be more careful with their calls against us.

We've sat off them, but that's on purpose I think. They can't break through, and are afraid to push their midfield forwards, because they know what might happen if they lose the ball.
I thought that. Not keen on their summer revamp at all, especially the website.
