Giggs needs to wake up in the middle and Ronaldo and Evra need to stretch them on the wings. There's too much onus on Brown and Silvestre to provide the quality on the flanks.
 
Time for Fergie and Carlos to deal with it. We can't afford to drop points today...absolutely no way. With all hype over the last couple of weeks, we really should put this one to bed...

We have looked pretty sluggish so far but Reading haven't done anything.
I expect us to be better in the second half
 
HT. Rooney with a couple of half-chances, but beside that, we did not create that much as we should despite dominating the game.
 
HT:Lots of possession not much goal incident.Don't think the front three are working that well at the moment.
 
end of the 1st half. complete dominance by united. reading lucky to be even at this point. come second half i think we'll sort theire asses out. i say 2-0 united.
 
So many numbers at the back for reading. Very difficult to break through.
 
Excellent our only match fit striker is limping around and we have the exciting duo Fletcher and O'Shea on the bench...

A 8 or 9 man defence from Reading has kept us out so far.

We broke this kind of defence up last season, we should be able to do it again.
 
We need to take Silvestre (who has been non-existant in the attacking third) off at half time and put Evra back at left back. Evra isn't comfortable taking ambitious passes in his stride and by working from left back, his man-marker will be an attacking player who wont like dealing with his pace.

well dominated the game just the final article missing. not unusual for us. Seem to remember us eaking out a draw opening game back during the treble year.

We will create chances its just whether or not we will take them
 
I think we need to take Silvestre off, move Evra back to full back and put Nani on the wing
 
Playing a fookin 4-5-1 at home against Reading is weak!
Need a 4-4-2. Rooney cant do it by himself and Giggs is playing too wide - Scholes too deep.

We need more urgency upfront and giggs just takes too much time.
 
With all these chances we should be leading by now. Will only get harder for Reading for every minute that pass by, and they have no attack or whatsoever. Of course it's just walk in the park at Old Trafford ffs.
