They really are very pathetic.

If it comes to the point where people are that obsessed with it that they don't even do it fully just to make sure their thread is there first so they can edit it later, then it has to stop.

Hargreaves should be ahead of Carrick based on his performances.

Although it could be 4-5-1 with Murphy on the LW with Richardson in CM either way I think the score will be:
Manchester United 0 v 9 Sunderland: Miller 6, Richardson 3.
 
For some reason, it feels like "there cannot be three central midfielders in one team". That's the impression I got today VS Tottenham. It's like "one must die".

Most likely Scholes and Hargreaves will play, with Carrick being a sub. Not that Carrick sucks, I was impressed with the display of Scholes - Hargreaves partnership. One defensive minded player, and the other who is attack minded player.

Saha, if fit, won't hesitate putting him up with Tevez. Tevez, needs to start training harder.

Of course, the wings would be Giggs and Nani, but I won't take my chances with Giggs, with that hard tackle he went through. So if injury occurs, Fletcher will take place for Giggs.

The back four, the same as it was VS Tottenham. Evra-Rio-Vidic-Brown.

As for GK, why don't we give PIG a chance?
 
I'd rather have Saha on the bench than start him when he isn't at 100% fitness and risk another injury. Anderson should be fitand I would put him straight in the starting line-up instead of Giggs. I'd also have Fletcher in for Scholes. I'd go with this line-up.

With a bench of PIG,Pique,Giggs,Scholes and Saha.

Sunderland are weak in midfield and I expect another Reading type game with hopefully a win this time. Just hope Gordon has a bad day. The Dippers played poorly and managed to beat them 2-0 away so we should get a win.

I predict a 5-0 win. Tevez with 2,Anderson,Hagreaves,Nani.
 
Sorry for Sunderland, but they are the weaker links in the premiership. We'll still put up a strong squad, but I can see Fergie resting up a couple of players.
 
It's the easiest of the teams we'll have faced so far, and hopefully with Saha available, we should give them a thrashing.
 
I don’t think we should rest anyone regardless who we are playing, we are only 4 games into the season so no one should be tired and we can’t start to take chances and loose more ground, play the best team possible.
I am quite confidant Giggs and Scholes wont be rested as it is just before the international break and they don’t have international duty to prepare for anymore.
If Saha don’t make the game the only player that I think will push for a starting place would be Anderson. The game’s at OT and against one of the weaker teams so it’s a good chance to make his debut if fit. I would put him in place of Carrick, his passing been a little poor of late for England and against Spurs; Anderson should also give us that little more going forward.

I like this line-up however I think Carrick will start ahead of Anderson, but hopefully we'll see the young lad at some point
 
Saha should be ready for this one, we just cant put three midfielders its a real waste of attacking options and we are at home...
its better to replace either scholes or hargo with carrick and that way we can refresh our midfield, the same with Giggs and nani when Ronaldo comes back.

this is the last game without Ronaldo and we must asure we win this one in a good form.
 
I somehow have this strange feeling that one of the ex United players will score against us (nope not Keano!)

Looking forward to this game, 1st match since the 7-1 Roma massacre. Big load of Irish heading over for this one. 6 coaches heading over compared to 2 for the Roma game. Hoping for 442, 433 makes us play like Arsenal at times. Should be a great occasion with Roy and the 5 ex players returning. Heading over Fri. till Sun. looking forward to another quality w/e in manc land!!!!

Jacob did the Spurs one, he should be the designated matchday thread starter till we lose, or maybe draw - then it gets opened up to anyone who's never done a losing thread.
 
I hope to see a United 442 with Saha in it. Not sure whether I'd play Carrick or Hargreaves.
