The boy has class written all over him,and still he hasn't show his best form yet...but a great talent now i can understand why there was so much hype from rival fans when we bought him....

Yes, Anderson is a class player.

We have a great central midfield now with Anderson, Scholes, Hargreaves, Carrick and Fletcher.

Today was one of his lesser performances, especially in the first half. Still, you just feel he can create something every time he gets the ball. Some of his diagonal passes in the second half was absolutely breathtaking. I'm so glad we signed this kid.

He's looking as good as we predicted. Some great play from Anderson today.

He's so unselfish... and solid in defensive tasks.

Still a teenager, but very high level of football.

First half was slightly quiet but he definitely made up for it in the second half. He has started to make runs much more often now, and he even tried the 'hokus Pucus' trick he did when he was 15 today. Great progress, and definitely suprised how fast he is coming along, Fergie will find it hard to drop him in the near future.

He's a real player. Only impetuousity and consistency away from being the best player we have i reckon, which will come soon enough. Was a bit sloppy today though, few passes went astray.

I'm not so sure about that. He has shown some flashes of brilliance though.

yeah he would have pulled it off if he didnt get fouled

Passing still not up to the quality of scholes and carrick, but heck, he was outstanding today...
Displayed strength, pace, defensive qualities as well as dribbling abilities...
I reckon he will develop into a scholes with even better tackling and dribbling...

Let's just say, from what I've seen so far, he is really a special talent. Hence, the granted working permit back then was very much an appropriate decision.

You lot are totally over-rating him on here I'm afraid.

The early signs are promising, I grant you, but honestly, you'd think we had Zidane, Pele and Cruyff all rolled into one the way some of you are creaming over him

Anderson, minus the typical flaws of youth, which may happen in a couple of years, will be up there with the very best midfielders in the world i reckon, quite possibly the best.

Reckon he could well be our best player too.

Absolutely delighted with his performances so far.

His defensive abilities have really surprised me. He's making it very difficult for SAF to drop him for Carrick at the moment.

Yeah, agreed. And Giggs was absolute shit apart from the last 20 minutes today. Wasting possession all over the place, right?

You are so biased it's unbelievable. Our best player when he becomes more consistant..

Gave the ball away a few times, but besides that he was good. Looks more and more the real deal for every game he plays

He was brilliant..
Always wanting the ball........
trying a few tricks too..
Taking on people...
He will definitely be one of the best.. in a few years..

I think in a few years, he can certainly put himself up or near the best if he develops like we hope, but I think there are certainly players far better then him at the moment, and players on our team who will certainly be better in a few years.

feck sake

Steady on there fella

Just potentially :D

We all see great signs from him, whats wrong with that. Not even saying he is there now, but he shows all the ingredients to be a great player.

His first games (minus the very first poor 45 min cameo) we all noticed his great passing, against Arsenal and today a bit we saw he is a very good tackler and has a high workrate, and he was known for his dribbling before he came to us. What else do you want from a 19yr old just back playing a short time from a very serious injury in a new country he doesn't even speak the language of.

It's really laughable to suggest thatAnderson could become our best player. You're an idiot. Open the window and cool off, trying to start some stupid internet argument here.

Giggs was 'absolute shite' are your own words. You fool.

Obviously, this is all projected, and on the basis that not many players his age and in his position are as good as him. Therefore, you would naturally expect him to be amongst the best midfielders around in a few years.

Oh dear.. When you have a team of Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez, Giggs, Scholes etc., your gonna need a hell of a lot more than 3(admittedly brilliant) displays to claim your going to be better than one of them, let alone everyone. Especially as Tevez, Ronaldo and Rooney still are very young players. Your jumping to your usual FM conclusions.

As for Anderson, he's absolutely brilliant. As I said earlier, even in one of his weakest performances so far, he oozes class and looks dangerous from just about every position on the field. So mature and unselfish as well.

I can see your point in a few years, especially with age in consideration. At the moment though, I think he is a fair bit away from touching some of our other players like Ronaldo and Rooney.

Either way, it's great watching him.

With what he has in his locker and his performances so far in his first season (where many don't adjust well) he COULD. That doesnt say he will be, but stupid to eliminate the possibility that a player far exceeding expectations so far could possibly improve.

Edit to add: And central midfield is one of the hardest postions to be outstanding in at a young age.

I really like the look of him, but he's got some way to go before he's playing at the level of Ronaldo and Rio.

No one has.

I could be wrong but I thought that was what you were saying below

It's really laughable to suggest thatAnderson could become our best player.

Edit to add: if you mean on the highlighted that I was suggesting you said he wouldn't improve, mentions of him improving is regards his chances to get to the level of our best player, which I consider possible though a huge ask, too many great players to pass out

I see. You want me to wait until he actually becomes our best player before i say, 'he could be our best player in the future'? Clever dude.

Usual FM conclusions. You're really embarrassing. I guess nobody other than Football Manager predicts Anderson could become one of the best, if not the best midfielder around at his peak then? Well just to inform, people have been saying that about him for about 3 years mate, ever since he was the best player in the U-17 World Cup actually.

We don't really play a pass and move game through midfield at the moment. Anderson seems to be a different wavelengths to his teammates in that regard. Most of the movement through the middle happens when the fullbacks push up and the wingers cut inside. I reckon it'll take a good preseason with the likes of Tevz, Rooney, Roanldo, Giggs and Nani before that sort of understanding develops and he can begin to flourish. His class on the ball and reading of the game is undeniably brilliant though.

I just want to add that Fletcher might be our best central midfielder in a couple of years
