We need to play our best players whenever we can. We can use the trip to Roma to rest players/give youngsters a game. But we can't afford to drop any points especially after Arsenal's hiccup tonight.

Thanks... I wasn't aware who we are playing... I remember us losing to West Ham at this same stage last season when they were bottom of the table. Think like a person on this one, not a fan. Everybody knows that we can slaughter these guys, but why chance it?
We must field the strongest team and attack from the start. Derby just changed manager and I could still remember Curbishley (West Ham 1-0), Megson (Bolton 1-0) These game raising cnuts under new managers.
Derby raising their game means them losing 3-0 or 4-0, not 5-0,6-0, or 7-0

eggfeckingzachly, play our strongest 11 and wipe these cnuts of the park early in the game. We play Liverpool away next, we can't afford to go into that game not taking maximum points from Derby as anything can happen when we go to Anfield.

We need to play the game at a quick tempo and not ease about and give Derby time to settle down. Remember this is probably the highlight of their season, to play in front of 75,000 at Old trafford so their players will be up for it.

Too much risk to play simpson, oshea AND Pique in one team, even against derby county. We must win that one for sure. I'm not saying that that team wouldnt be able to beat them, but why taking risks? The rest of your first 11 is ok.

I would like to see Hargreaves as RB for the game. Should provide more danger in crosses than Brown, and I really don't think there will be great danger from Derby's left wing.

One worry I'd have about these ideas is that I think SAF will want to play Owen against the dippers so the game I'd expect to see him rested is against Roma. Another is that the squad against Roma is too weak to ensure no embarrassment - Rooney needs games so I'd play him for a chunk of that match as well.
Tevez might benefit from a game off sometime before Anfield however.
SAF can play the academy side against Roma for all I care, as long as we have full strength squads for our Premiership matches.
Seems like it will be a tough match. Game raising cnuts coming to Old Trafford. We gotta play a fairly strong team and make sure the game is won before changes can be made. No underestimating them please guys.

After the Bolton tragedy we wont be understimating anyone and we need to make a better goals difference than our title rivals cause they are just 2 goals ahead of us

David Jones will be facing the club where he started as a trainee. The 23 year old midfielder made just four appearances as a Manchester United youngster.
Seriously i can't understand how everybody see the necessity of a playing a ball winner against Derby,Carrick and Anderson are more than capable of performing defensive and offensive duties against them,i see Nani also playing ahead of giggs,nice time to play without too much pressure.If pique or Simpson don't start then its a real sad situation for the lads,if you can't be trusted to play derby at home then?.
