Thought he's done fairly well so far ... snuffed out any threat from the right-hand side and got forward a bit too.

Big match for him: first match in a Spurs shirt, in front of the home crowd, against the league leaders. Showed no nervousness so far.
 
To be fair, everytime Ronaldo has made a run a Spurs player has been yellow carded. There's no way they can continue that in the second half, I think we'll see him get more into the game, he looks like our only fecking hope of scoring.

Hargreaves took a crack from about 25-30 yards. It was a decent low driver that was blocked in the area. Spurs launched a quick counter attack. Jenas (I believe it was) took the ball, Hargreaves ran him down and tackled him on the right side of the area. Jenas fell and played the ball forwards with his hand to Lennon who took a shot. They scored off the rebound.

He's always running two yards behind everything, his distribution has been too slow, and he's not even making himself available, which should be the basic minimum for even a shit midfield player.

to all those players saying without hargreaves we'l be losing 3-0,if we had played carrick or anderson spurs would have found it tough to get the ball away from us let alone create so many chances,scholes needs another person who can retain the ball well alongside him.....bring on nani and anderson

we're not pressing them, we try some clever one-twos where composure and holding the ball is needed.

tbf to brown and evra, they are often exposed against two. Ronaldo and Giggs don't help the defense one bit.

Yet he's been one of our better players and seems to be the only one recoverign the ball. Scholes hasn't been his usual self today while our front two and Giggs have been useless thus far. Hope we sort it out quickly. We cannot afford to drop anymore points.
 
I'm pretty sure, that Fergie hasnt made any changes. It would piss me off, but I'm sure.
 
We do have some great options to come off the bench. Spurs don't.

We'll have chances in the second half, we just need to take them. Still plenty to play for, but everyone needs to up their games. Thank feck for Hargreaves and Vidic.

To be fair to Hargreaves you can't blame him for our performance, the whole team has been shit and are struggling to put together a couple of passes.

I mean, what's the point in having a holding midfield player, if his idea of holding the midfield is to run along behind the other teams counter attacks, and then boot the ball away when (if) they feck it up?

Worse, as a result we don't even have a midfield to hold. There's just a huge gap there for Spurs to do as they please in.

Put a fecking midfielder in there Fergie
 
What with the all the Hargreaves bashing he has been one of our better players(although he has had no competition)

You have to understand. If you go far enough back Hargreaves made a mistake that set off a chain of events that led to the goal.

I believe Hargreaves made a pass today that will ultimately lead to a goal sometime in the next 6 weeks.

I don't understand changing the midfield after such a dominant performance midweek. It's a case of Benitezitis.
