When have you ever seen Fabregas so utterly dominated in the centre of the park? I'm suprised by the man of the match voting, I thought Anderson absolutely ran the show. The strength, the pace, just the sheer quality of the lad is sensational

My only criticism is not of him, but the crowd. We seriously have to come up with a better chant for him, just chanting his name repeatadly is dire. Plus I thought at one point we were chanting for Alan Smith, which made me angry, and look a bit of a prat when I questioned the crowds choice of praise. So supporters should up their game, and I'll go get my hearing tested

He was fantastic, but Fletch and Carrick helped as well in keeping Fabregas and Hleb quiet. I loved that backheel nutmeg by Anderson on Fibreglass!

Anderson looks much better when playing with 2 other midfielders.

And we need a song for Darren Fletcher as well.

Perhaps to the tune of Depeche Modes 'Useless' :smirk:

We make you look shite
We make you look shite
Even with Fletcher on
We make you look shite

I seem to have an agenda here...

Probably cause was playing as an attacking midfielder.

I would say he can play as a winger also.

He was man of the match by a mile, the standing ovation he got when he came off spoke volumes.

We've got a star in the making.

Anderson played slightly more advanced in the three man midfield today. He was superb in the first half.

I don't think Anderson particularly outplayed Fabregas. The little cnut was just generally shite today.

Today Anderson proved something of a point. Last Sunday I suggested that Scholes return to the first team had coincided with a down turn in form. Today with Anderson returned to the side we saw a return of the fluent and quick football we saw up until the Portsmouth game a couple of weeks back.

Anderson has a lot to learn and could do with some goals to his name, but right now he is adding that bit of pace to our midfield, that the likes of Carrick, Hargreaves, Fletcher and Scholes haven't got. In a couple of years, just like Ronaldo has done, his transfer fee we paid for him will look like pittance, we have an unpolished diamond here.....

Spot on.

He's a gem.

I agree, think United can play a great 4-3-3 with him

Carrick was MoM. Ran the show. Fletch wasnt far behind, and then Anderson was probably next. Oh, gay thread name by the way

Nani was the architect behind 3 of our goals with 2 assists and one goal, if that doesn't deserve a mention then I don't know what will.
Picking a MOM is quite difficult though as they all complimented each other brilliantly and were all the reason behind our victory.

It was quite spectacular to see those very different players compliment each other as they did, each player added something unique to our attack with Carrick being the Calm, Fletch the Energy, Anderson the Spectacular and Nani the Effective.

Nani seems to have got the Caf vote. The lad had a sensational game, he didn't even make my top three! I guess the difference between being at the match and watching it on TV may have factored. I doubt anyone at the stadium thought anyone other than Anderson was the stand out player of the game

True. He was the name on everyone's tongue when the final whistle went. He was absolutely fantastic and fully deserved his standing ovation.

To the tune of She’ll Be Coming Round The Mountain...with apologies to religious types

They should make him the Prime Minister
Anderson, Anderson,
They should make him the Prime Minister
Anderson...
‘Cos the boy’s got football mastered
And he’s not an evil bastard,
Like Maggie fecking Thatcher
And her son
(Anderson!)

They should make him king of England
Anderson, Anderson,
They should make him king of England
Anderson...
‘Cos the ball sticks to his bootlace
And he’s not a total fruitcake
Like Lizzy fecking Windsor
And her son
(Anderson!)

They should make him king of Heaven
Anderson, Anderson,
They should make him king of Heaven
Anderson...
‘Cos the whole midfield he bosses
And he isn’t scared of crosses
Like the Virgin fecking Mary
And her son
(Anderson!)

They should make him tackle street-crime
Anderson, Anderson,
They should make him tackle street-crime
Anderson...
‘Cos he tackles just like Pally
And he’s not a theiving scally
Like Mrs. fecking Gerrard
And her son
(Anderson!)

:lol::lol::lol:

The first line doesn't seem to work, but the rest is brilliant.

No you're right, there's a bit of a scansion problem in the Prime Minister line, I couldn't get round it...you have to pronounce it "Minster"

Unless it was "They should make him run the country"?

Cheers anyway gents...you can start it VW, I'll join in once at least three hundred other lads have...

Last night, when he turned his back to toure and just stood there waiting for toure to take the ball of him, he made toure look like a little princess. His strength is unbelievable.

I think RedCafe now unanimously feel that Anderson is much better than Fabregas, it's such a bizarre delusion they have.

Anderson did well against Fabregas earlier in the season, but that was a lot to do with the players around him.

Tonight Anderson did well against Fabregas, and again, half of the United midfield was on Fabregas all game, he hardly had any space and the players on our team were not able to find him or make runs. Of course Cesc looked worse than Anderson tonight, he was playing on the losing side, with a load of players who weren't doing what they should be doing.

Yet when Ronaldo gets tripled marked, he "doesn't perform in the big matches" :wenger:
