No taking Newcastle for granted, we all know how pivotal this could turn out to be.
Plus, he always seems to do well coming off the bench. Could well change the game if we're struggling at any point.

Fletcher is well rested and comes into this on the back of a top class performance against Arsenal in the last week. So his rank among our CMs, is of ittle importance when taken in the larger context.

I like Fletcher, but I´m not sure about him in a 4 - 4 - 2 formation. He´s usually at his best when we play 4 - 3 - 3.
I agree with that, lets him do the dirty work and have two other CMs do the passing and creative work

Just a little concerned that this might get a bit rough and Carrick and Fletcher could get outfought in the middle of the park by Butt and Barton.

Fletcher and Carrick seem to always play alongside one another.

anderson can play on the wing, we got good cover.... but my only concern is that either scholes or anderson isnt in for fletcher, especizlly considering arsenal lost points today we need to take out chance and close this gap, however i am confident that fletcher and the rest of the lads can do it, i just think with either scholes or ando in there the chances are higher of us winning.
