With everyone fit and this being a must win (or 0-0 which I doubt) do you think that the team that Fergie will put out will be, in his mind, our best team?

You see, all the rotation is done with this game in mind. There's no question of resting for this one. So Fergie must be in turmoil as to what is his best team. I believe it will be insightful.

Had Hargreaves and Scholes been chosen then I can't believe Sir Alex would have used them for 90 mins against Fulham given their respective fitness problems etc. The game was practically won at half-time and yet Scholes stayed on the pitch to the end, contrast that with Anderson being withdrawn during the recent Arsenal match.

Giggs doesnt suit in a 4-3-3 style, he offers no treat at all. Nani or Anderson make it works with their movement and speed.

Maybe presently, but Giggs in his prime was a great option down the forward left of a 4-3-3 due to his speed and smarts, he excels in the traditional winger role now, but ffs how many times has he proven his talent to United before

Why would Fergie risk playing Anderson wide left for the first time in a game of this importance?

And why should Anderson be expected to play in that position?

People on this forum already expect him to play well whether as a box-to-box centre mid, as the attacking point of a 3 man midfield, or just off the striker. Why should he be expected to play in yet another position? Will that help to get the best out of one of the world's best young talents? Lump him all over the park, different position every game. Do we want the world's best jack-of-all trades? Is Anderson just the Brazilian version of John O'Shea?

Last season when we played Roma and beat them 7-1 had we ever played that system with them players before? Answer is no and yet not only did we win we recorded our largest ever victory.

As for playing with no width by giving both Ronaldo and Anderson free supporting roles both could drift wide if need be as Anderson often does anyway and Ronaldo obviously is more than attuned to doing. Plus we've got the width that Evra gives us and at times Brown also.
