Manchester United vs. Liverpool

My guess is 4-3-3 with Hargreaves, Anderson and either Carrick or Scholes in the middle and Ron, Roon, Tev up front. Thats a fast, physical, hardworking side, with plenty of flair. Fletcher, Nani/Giggs/Park on the bench. Liverpool don't have such good bench options and that could be decisive in the tiring closing stages. Most of Liverpool's back line players are either old or inexperienced against this level of opposition.

agree with all of that. Scholes'll be fine with Anderson and the anomoly alongside. Fletcher might play though

After Fletcher's reverting back to the 'old Fletcher' against Bolton, he probably would not make it even to the bench. If one sees the replay how easily he was just nudged off the ball by Guthrie (Bolton) in the opening minutes the last match, Fletcher would be eaten alive by Mascherano. Too risky to play Fletcher.

Based on being sentimental and tradition. Scholes or Giggs would start. Assuming Rio and Van Der Sar are fit as well.

A bit light in the midfield tackiling dept, I reckon he'll play Ronaldo, Carrick, Scholes, Anderson across the mid agre with rest of your team if Rio's out..! Basically if we can stop Gerrard Torres will get no service.
