Villarreal CF vs. Manchester United

I like the line up, keep it tight and counter. Doubt there will be many goals in this one though, I will go 1-0 to us.

I have to say i'm glad for Evans though. And on the case of O'Shea he hasn't impressed me in our last couple of games, plus Rafael is a natural RB. The only way he's going to get better and progress is if we actually play him. He's too good to be on the bench all the time.

To be fair Tevez was left our in europe several times last year as well. Perhaps SAF just doesnt fancy him in europe.

and the villa game too?

O'Shea has played right back the last 2 games iirc and we have kept 2 clean sheets.

I'm not entirely sure what he has to do to gain your approval.

Fergie clearly thinks O'Shea is more appropriate at the minute, and i agree with him.

Rossi will either score and be amazing or be shit. If he's amazing, there'll be a flood of "sign him" threads on the forum (more than now, even) and if doesnt play well people will laugh every time he's mentioned, like Kuyt. Theres no middleground here. He cant play "okay".

last season he was kinda like our get out of jail card, and i still think we won the champions leauge last season because we had him.

And yet SAF left him out in several important champions league matches. If I remember correctly it may have been Barcelona or Roma, he was left benched.

He's 18 year old.

Throwing a kid like that in at the deep end can either do him a world of good or completely shatter his confidence.

Evans has played for his country in major tournament qualifiers and played first team football for 6months of the Premier League last season so he has far more experience.

I like Rafael, i think he's ace and he's going to be class. But you need to be careful in nurturing young talent like that.

Bloody hell, when the feck will Tevez play!

O'Shea:nervous:

Tevez has probably been left out for his head shaking antics.

Good tactics putting O'Shea in. Will nulify the aerial threat of Rossi.

Saf=Genius.

We're away in Europe. Fergie likes to keep it as tight as possible.

Makes sense.

So why no Vidic then?

Anderson to score a backheel from the halfway line.

tight as possible, and there's no vidic?

*sigh*

Vidic out Evans in is a straight swap.

O'No in for Rafael is a defender in for what is almost a winger.

Hence that is a tighter option than having Rafael in.

The thing about that is, from now until the end of the season, most matches will be mostly big games (due to correcting up points in the title race), so we have to throw him in sooner or later. Why not tonight ?

Thats not to say i wouldn't be glad if O'Shea has a good game tonight, but over the last couple of performances it doesn't look like happening. I believe Rafael would be perfect in a match like this.
