Manchester United v Sunderland

We barely created anything.

Berbatov, Ronaldo & Rooney were all below par. Park again with a bright first half.

Get Tevez on for Berbatov.

It was Tevez, because we've spent 45 minutes unable to break down their defence. Would be a bit bizarre to suddenly start chanting about your reserve central defender. He isnt going to change much.

it was Evans

and it was the Sunderland fans, as he was on loan there once upon a time

Unreal. The TV gives it as 75%-25%. This game is so one sided that I would question that stat. I'd say more like 85-15. Can't recall a game like this for many many years.

Tevez on at HT.

Deserved to start and definitely deserves to be playing now.

Anyone elsea annoyed by their goalkeeper? Seiously, starting to waste time after 30 mins? Tosser.

Bloody hell I've never seen a more boring half a football. Thank you very much Sunderland cnuts. At least try to play ffs.

We've created very little so far. Why the feck is Ronaldo stuck out on the wings and Park moving around? He is useless when we're trying to break down opposition which puts ten men behind the ball. This has fecking 0-0 written all over it

We need good delivery in the box that seems like the only way we are going to beat then. I think park mite need to be sacrificed for Nani, with got Fletcher in the middle and with them sitting deep we don't really need another water carrier!!

We just don't have anything in the final third. Been like that all season tbh.

Newcastle
Everton
Liverpool
Chelsea

to name just a few of the games where we should have scored a shed load, but managed not to, and as a result dropped points.

very difficult to get through 10 men surrounding the box, we cannot counter attack as they are not even trying to get out, i would be suprise if they can do this all second half

Up to us to break them down

I saw this coming

Fear not I'm going to put a fiver on 0-0, so we're bound to score.

we lack width its very clear, ronaldo needs to strt testing the fullbacks and not cutting inside, its getting to crowded in the middle, same goes for park.

Start using the width and use berbatov higher up and we will see goals.

If nothing comes in 10 minutes id like to see tevez and anderson given a go, the game agaisnt blackburn there was much more speed and 1 n 2 touch passing.

It could go either way, they just park the bus and we fail to really take it to them, which is happeining now, or we get 1 early goal and we will get a few more. Im hoping sincerely for the later otherwise liverpool will be 8 points clear

Boring, but it is our job to break them down. Tevez to come on for berba not park, he has been our main threat. So, on what basis would we need to take him off on?

Once again this season we lack any real penertration. It's happened time and time again this season, we just haven't scored any or enough goals in a game, missing a lot of chances along the way. And as a result we've dropped very important points. It's a big concern, and if it continues, we're just gonna continue to drop silly points.

I'd say it's fine, players linking up really well up to the edge of the box (which is well... crowded by how many players?).

I agree with whoever said Anderson should come on.

Tevez must replace Berbatov in the second half. I hope we will not drop any points in this crap match.

Tevez or Nani on please for Park, and Anderson on for Fletch. Fletcher is unfit apparently just recovered from a hamstring strain and looks like it.

Sunderland though wtf

They have been absolutely dominated but we have nothing to show for it. We need to become less predictable in our play and increase the tempo to cause them problems. We have been a little too casual with our possession which allows them to keep their two banks of 4 at all times. Mix things up a bit more to confuse them.

We've been doing that all season though. Lovely play, but not enough end product. Like we're trying to walk it into the net most of the time. Very reminicent of Arsenal of the past if I'm honest.

Newcastle was like Reading last season and we had a number of injury problems that day.

The teams in bold were all away from home and are arguably our toughest fixtures along with Arsenal.

 at some of the posts in this thread.

I've not found it boring in the slightest, we've played some really good stuff at times and are really unlucky not to be winning.

I think this is the least ambition shown by any club coming to OT since the opening day of last season when we drew 0-0 with Reading. Hopefully we'll break through in this one though. I think we will.
