Manchester United v Aalborg

By the way, I am not Giggs bashing, I like Giggs. He was definately one of the better players in the first half. That does not excuse him from losing the ball inexplicably.

Anyway in my opinion Nani, Gibson, O'Shea and Rooney had far worse first halves that Giggs.

Anderson slides a gorgeous, perfectly weighted pass (red-tinted glasses on) through to Rooney, who gets in between centre-back and left-back and hits it first-time straight through the middle.

2-0
Yes! Get in!

I knew those Aalborg goals were offside!

Great pass, Rooney shoots without looking at the goalie. a bit luck to see it go in, but nice goal

Eurosport counts the accurate and inaccurate passes.

When it comes to losing the ball through bad control or losing it when trying to dribble it by someone, that is not counted. Only passes.

So Giggs did not just lost it 7 times. That was just 7 bad passes.

Well according to someone else in this forum a few pages back, he counted 15 times Giggs gave the ball away.

My brother text me saying it was 18.

I wasn't counting.

Getting caught in possession also constitutes losing the ball. It doesn't just have to be inaccurate passing.

So he got caught in possession 11 times then, but we just didn't see it?

Riiiight.

You're not a Giggs fan, not a lot are, but he played well. He gives the ball away more than anyone in our team, but he's also one of the best attacking passers (i.e. through balls) in our team and his interplay along with his dribbling to open up spaces and his control on the ball at times was perfect.

He played well.
