We do seem to be aiming at the goalie, apart from Teves's header that is.

This game has been a piece of piss. LDU are a really poor outfit. I don't think ball retention is a term which translates into Ecuadorian.
We have played really, really well. The anti-Berbatov/pro-Tevez brigade will be enjoying this. In fairness, some of the link up between Tevez and Rooney has been excellent. We are playing really well all over the field, and the break through is pretty inevitable.

One sided game, we have been attacking for 45 minutes, we are in complete control of the game we have had 4-5 shot on goal but all towards their goallie, and one great header from Tevez difficult save.
we need to make sure Manso doesn't get on the ball too much in the second half, their whole attacking play starts with him and goes through him. I'd hate it if we lost while completely dominating the team a la pompey in the FA cup last season.
This game reminds me of the past finals, South American team trying for a counter while European team dominates. It worked against the Scouse and Barca.

Apart from the generally incisive passing and timely interceptions..
Rooney, Ronaldo, Tevez and Anderson have been excellent.
I hate to say it, but Ronaldo seems on his way back to his best (role, moving around anywhere on the pitch) with Rooney and Tevez enjoying a very good game together upfront. Berbatov is not playing. Coincidence?
Ronaldo needs to improve soon, if he aims to repeat the antics of last year or even get close to it.
We have to put in that extra yard of effort if we are to be crowned the Champions of the World.

Ronaldo was probably MOM for the first half.
Rooney has also been fantastic.
To be fair we look a hell of a lot more threatening.
I'd like to see Rooney / Tevez start all away games and maybe keep Berbatov for the home ones where he seems to be better.
Am i expecting too much from Ronaldo then? if Messi had played similarly like ronaldo has in that first half, many would have said he was pretty decent but didn't really stand out. All i am saying is he needs to improve his game and start becoming consistent again.
