Pretty much, I've never really understood why though.
 
Both us and Spurs are playing attacking teams. We have got to out gun them today. We dont have much height in attack so we will have to play around and through them. Ronaldo and Nani need to be on their game today because our wings can win us the match.
 
Modric playing in LM tends to drift inside a lot and probably won't provide much help down the left side, so Ekotto will have his work cut out coping with Ronaldo. Likewise it will be interesting to see how Evra copes with Lennon.

I doubt it. I suppose Fergie just went with Rio to give him more games, resting Vida for a further week is no bad thing after the run of starts he had when we had so many injuries. Only odd thing about it is Vida has been much more of a regular in this run than Rio who is making his first appearance in it today like Evra.

Nope, that's not Fergie's way. Whatever he had to say to Vidic, he said it in Japan. Newcastle, Fulham, Inter, Liverpool - he's gonna start all those matches. So he gets a rest today.

'Twas a joke, of course he's not being punished for it now.

I've no idea why he is rested, but it doesn't seem unreasonable to me.
 
Rooney in bed all day yesterday, would have played but came down with a virus and wasn't fit to play
