Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur

Tevez and Welbeck can't really be blamed though, when they hold up the ball there's hardly any support from midfield for them to pass to as the wingers are marked and there's no support from Scholes or Gibson

cheers, see ya!

what's with people like you, if we play shit and aren't even close to them in the last 20 mins, IN A FINAL at that - and you're happy? Go make some tea and have a sandwich....enjoy 'the spectacle' FFS

We're not playing shit.

We were arguably the better team in that half.

Tevez needs to release the ball faster. As does Gibson.

If you think we've played "shit" then you are exceedingly spoilt.

laughing that you think he's 'keeping the game flowing' or whatever you said...you couldn't be more wrong

Scholes has played reasonably well and Brwned is spot on. It is not Scholes fault our front two have done nothing of note and that Evra is being ripped apart down the right. Gibson has certainly faded as the half went on and his confidence was dropping.

someone pm me a stream

and whats the score as i just woke up
:(

JOS what a donkey, first bad pass, than yellow

If you noticed, Ronnie should have helped out and tracked back once JOS lost the ball...instead the fool just strolled around and let JOS rush back resulting in the foul conceded. Ronnie's been shit so far...not putting any effort whatsoever.

Fairly even 1st half I'd say, with Spurs getting more of the game as the half developed. This is not the foregone conclusion that many on here predicted.

Ignore that type of shite, it was obvious it wouldn't be a walk in the park... pitch seems tricky.

Why do Sky not use an ex-United Pundit?

They've got Hoddle for Spurs but WTF has McAllister got to do with United?

I rest my case....!

Err...

That coming from a Spurs fan, which would mean it's more than fair to say we were arguably better.

You never had a case in the first place.

The Sky commentator made an interesting (and correct) point: most of your chances have been long range efforts, whilst Spurs have created more threat inside your penalty box ... mainly due to Lennon.

Ronaldo created our best chance in the game from pure determination.

That requires effort.

err Scholsey has played pretty well IMO
as has Tevez for that matter, whenever they've had the ball, not blaming them at all - but seems they're expected to carry the team, helping at RB cos JOS can't defend (Tevez), etc

It's Gibson I'm worried about

All true, but neither team has created any real chance.

Tevez needs to release the ball faster.

yes!

to whom? no one is backing him

in fact, by the position tevez is playing, that ones that should release the ball faster are nani and ronaldo

but no, they both love to do some fancy pancy foot trick before passing the ball

and when they do tevez is already surrounded by tottenham defenders and then everyone blames him for not scoring

is fletcher hurt or just not in the side

Fletcher and Carrick are not on the bench. No surprise as neither have featured much in the Carling Cup. Anderson, Possebon and Giggs have and hence were always going to be on the bench,

Evra needs to watch Lennon and the spaces he can run in to rather than get too attracted to the ball. To let Evra do that, Gibson and Nani needs to give Evra better protection with runners for Lennon and the spaces in front of Evra.

Nah, Tevez hasn't done enough.

None of the attacking players have, but Tevez hasn't gotten into any half decent positions, which isn't good enough. The other three have.

fecks sake half the stadium isn't there, they still haven't sorted that out.

Err...

I could also make the case that Spurs have been arguably better, but my overall view is that it's been pretty even.

We've not conceded a league goal all season when he's started.
