Hull City vs. Manchester United

Disappointing that Martin plays, hoped Tosic would get a chance.

Eckersley deserved to start ahead of De Laet in my opinion.

Good to see Martin being rewarded for his great season at the Reserves.

Jesus, that's way weaker than I was expecting! I'm not complaining, but we really are going to get a lot of shit over this unless we win.

Virtuoso, is Fabio injured?

He was definitely injured the last match I saw him, didn't play in the Manchester Senior Cup final either so shame he is out today also. He's had a bad year injuries wise, hopefully a good preseason next year will help him.

Here's hoping it will be Welbeck and Macheda up front together.

Where do C.Evans, Drinkwater, and James play? Any of them got a chance of making it big? I should know this myself after always checking the reserve game reports, but my memory is dog dirt.

I could look this up on wiki or something but you guys are more informed.

I think James has the best chance. Good prospect as a box to bix midfilder.

It's pretty strong actually. Only De Laet, those two upfront and Martin can be seen as reserve players.

Corry Evans is a central midfielder turned centre back, Drinkwater is a talented midfielder who has represented England at youth level, and Matt James is a central midfielder who is only 17 and very promising - has been picked in the England U19 squad, really think he has a shot at making it for us.

hmmm

as SAF said he wouldn't pitch a player who hasn't played in threee weeks.

On the other hand it's Rio.

I'd say Evans will play on Wed.

Typical Fergie...

Playing games.

Corry Evans can play central defender and central midfielder - his biggest weakness is perhaps that he has no real strengths. He is just a good overall player.

Matt James pretty much the same as Evans - but stronger offensively. His passing is excellent - some of his through-balls are out of this world

Danny Drinkwater is an attacking midfielder - quick feet, good runs and decent strike.

Imo - Matt James has a huge chance - the other 2 - so-so at best

Keys really annoys me, always tries to cause trouble, wel done to Jamie Redknapp and Andy Gray for saying Fergie should be able to pick whoever he wants

A good side with lots of talent and experience and more than enough about them to beat Hull. I expect Martin, Macheda and Welbeck to give the Hull defence a pretty torrid time. Martin has been mustard so far this season in the reserves with his pace and guile. Fletch will pull the strings. Excellent to see the return of Wesley Brown.

Brown is playing???

So I take it this'll rule him out for Rome then? Unless Fergie wants to give him a 45 minute runout to see how he does..

There was never any chance he would have played in Rome.

I've been wanting Hull to win, but looking at the line up, I now want the kids to put in a top performance.

Hopefully we win but the barcodes still get relegated.

Actually, the kids will get plenty of chances to do well in the future... but to see Shearer take the barcodes down may well be the chance of a lifetime.

So come on Hull!!
