Diouf Watch

Well thats not good. Discipline and time keeping is everything at our club. Hopefully Diouf shows more professionalism when he comes here.

Its not necessary that he came late.. He probably was late because he had no choice but to be..

He scored two goals today against the big and mighty Ullern for Moldes reserve team. He player for like 20 minutes yesterday.

Hm. So he only got 2 in 20 minutes in the reserves. He must be a bit off form, given that he scores one every 22 minutes at senior level.

Worrying stuff for Mental Mame.

Worse than that. The 20 minutes were for the first team yesterday. He started for the reserves today (they're in the league on level 3, by the way).

I said he played first team football yesterday for Molde, no goals.

Probably played all game today and scored two.

Christ. He's really in the doldrums then. He'll have to get 8 on his next outing to compensate. I'd expect him to do this, though.

We can at least take heart from the fact that his superhuman physique enables him to play every day. We'll never have to rest him.

One way traffic, the ball has barely been in Molde's half the last fifteen minutes.

Molde's midfield, Thioune, Berg Hestad and Hoseth, is totally bossing this game. MBD is marginalised on the right, and the other Diouf is useless at finishing.

As the 45th minute is gone Singh scores for VIF. Robbery. And Molde were very unlucky not to get a penalty after that.

Molde need Mame to play more centrally, they can't rely on Pape Pate's finishing skills!

The commentators are annoying. They've just claimed that OGS probably will be very disappointed with Mame today. I'm sure he'll leave disappointed, but rather because he's not been allowed to see the real MBD but a striker employed as a left sided midfielder. His team mates aren't helping him much.

The commentators has also already sent Vålerenga to the cupfinal.

Come on now Mame.

Someone at Vålerenga got so jealous of Mame that he pushed him and got red card.

and now it's 1-1. We might get to see Mame in to extras.

Diouf's team won 6-3 and our man was utterly crap. Out of position though, on the wing, but still. A cheat to boot as well. I think I might have a problem warming to him. Ah well, I'm a fickle cnut, if he starts banging them in for us I'd love him. :)

El-Hadji Mahktar Thioune on the other hand, what a player! He's like a young Scholes, with pace and power. Doesn't sound too bad does it? ;)
And I like the fact that he's actually learned Norwegian as opposed to the other Senegaleses at Molde.

He has been a bit shit the last times I`ve seen him and been diving too. I appreciate that he`s been played out of position, but I`d expect him to do more. Meh.

Great goal by Singh today by the way.

Thioune is a bigger cheat/diver than MBD whatever happened tonight. I left for the pub at 1-0 to VIF, ten minutes before full time, and when I returned Molde had won it 6-3. W. T. F. !

He was apparently great in the weekend.

20LEgend was in Molde last week to follow up on our new signing Mame Biram Diouf. On Wednesday Molde FK played a semifinal match in the Norwegian Cup against Vålerenga, and won 6-3 after extra time. Mame Biram Diouf played as a right attacker in a 4-3-3 for Molde, and didn't do especially well. (He's usually best as a striker, that's also where he's scored most of his goals this season.)

On Sunday Molde played arch rivals Rosenborg (some of you might know this team from many years in CL), and Rosenborg won it 2-0. Mame Biram Diouf played on the right in this match as well, but this time he did the best I've seen in quite a long time from the lad. One of the biggest changes in his play was the decision making, which had improved drastically. Set up some great chances for his team with some nice passes, and good runs as always. Came to some decent chances himself as well.

So, accidentally, after a period of bad performance, Ole arrives and he's starting to find his form again. I was starting to worry a little about the lad, but know my confidence is back. I believe Diouf has more than a decent chance to make it at United. Cos if Solskjaer has such a huge impact on him in only a few days, I can't even imagine what Ole and the rest of our staff can do with him in the long run. Not to mention the importance of all the quality players he will be training with every single day.

I didn't get to see that game, but he's certainly been out of form lately. I blame that in part on his coach for playing him out of position a lot (on the right hand side). But even when he's playing poorly you see hints of his abilities. What puzzles me is that every other game he plays Scholes-like passes over and behind the defenses.

He was aperently great in the weekend.

He was better than he has been of late but he wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination. Almost scored with a brilliant diving header.

I don't think he has scored four goals in a game since we signed him, he's obviously not the player we thought he was. Maybe Ipswitch will buy him off us?

Starting today, game begins 15 minutes before United so I'll give it that 15 mins. Diouf is playing central again after several dull performances on the right. I promise you a Diouf goal today.

To late i've seen it. Mexie you owe meee! I want a full analysis of how the One did.

You may want to edit this post ;)

I knew there was something I was supposed to do. But I guess somewhere in the world, there's a guy named Diouf who scored. Possibly in Senegal somewhere.

I'm sorry, I only watched 15 minutes. He looked shabby enough in those 15 minutes, maybe it was for a reason he was placed outside on the wing. I don't know, hopefully he will pick it up soon.

But next time I'll bring fresh photos and a 1000-word essay on Mame Biram Diouf.

Most likely not

Diouf!!!! Hopefully they'll play him in the middle again. Play Diouf there and they win. Simple really.
