I agree but Matt le Tisser was less than impressed, hadnt a good word to say about the lad
He was impressed with Macheda though

Maybe you should leave out the personal insults and argue your point properly? Are you capable of that?
Possible, will Nani? Neither came through the youth structure though.
Obertan put in at least excellent crosses today. If Macheda's runs were a bit more intelligent he would have bagged an assist or two.
I always find it funny the way people are so desperate to pigeon-hole players. It looks as though Obertan will be crammed in the same box that Valencia was squeezed into earlier this season.
Please elaborate as to what part of expecting a young player to be able to trap a ball played into feet is unreasonable? there seems to be this excuse of "hes young so it doesn’t matter etc" well if he expects to make the grade at this club basic technique and touch matters greatly....the ball bounces off welbeck far to easily.

As opposed to the great Macheda who's first touch is almost always to receive the ball into feet, let it bounce 3 feet away chase it down and pass it back to maintain possession.
I'm not trying to cover Welbeck with glory here, he didn't do his talent justice today but have you seen Welbeck play more than 2 games? I mean at all? I've watched him since his days in the academy when he was a tangley little kid to playing CL football and anyone else who has can attest to the pure skill this kid has.
Have you ever actually played football? I mean actually played it instead of of a kickabout with some mates?
Having watched him play since he was 15 I think its fair to say Ive seen a lot more of him than you and first touch is definitely not a problem for him. You seem to be basing what you're saying on tonights match alone which as Ive said is moronic and you obviously dont know very much about the game
Well, yes, but then again, maybe he was expecting Rooney and Berbatov to step up to the plate, even though it was quite obvious that something was wrong when you go two seasons with a winger as your top scorer. Neither Rooney or Berbatov are prolific, Owen is neither here or there, and Wellbeck and Macheda are not going to fill that position. We've scored less goals than Liverpool in the league this season.
Most pundits are just fat twats paid to stir shite and get the phone lines or papers jumping
Your patronising tone is...
...quite a common occurrence when people respond to you.
Coincidence? I think not.

Nah, Valencia was pigeon-holed as too predictable most of all, if Obertan's anything he's unpredictable.
Theres your first problem...if you cant keep this on topic and feel you need to resort to personal remarks then maybe that says more about yourself than myself.
I thought Welbeck was very good for the first half hour or so, but failed to have much of an impact on the 2nd half. Macheda impressed me 2nd half, he seems to be working hard on his game and his hold up play. He really tried to up the tempo and was unlucky not to score. Promising from both, but obviously far from the finished articles.
From what age, 11? I didn't know they let spectators in to watch children's games.Id say comfortably a great deal more than yourself...
The fundamental problem here is that you seem to think that one of Welbeck's biggest strengths, his technique on the ball is his biggest weakness. How I'm going to convince you to see that Welbeck has great technique and control of the ball, other than the brilliant piece of control he did in the other game which there is a gif on this forum somewhere.Theres your first problem...if you cant keep this on topic and feel you need to resort to personal remarks then maybe that says more about yourself than myself.
I cant stand him. His laid back, looks like he doesnt care, body language does my head in. His general play is just too annoyingly casual. Never make it for us.
Given I'm not the first one to do so, I'd say it says more about you than me.
Then again that'd be bringing logic into the argument, that might just be a step too far with you.
Logic? your not attempting any logic whatsoever Brwned you’ve had a bee in your bonnet with me ever since i challenged you back in the newbie forum and you didn’t like it one bit...obviously you were used to and expecting to be agreed with because of your main forum status...
Certain people don’t agree with my views on Welbeck in here and certain others do...why the need to take things off topic and make personal remarks i don’t know...maybe as i say your still a bit sore from past 'debates' and maybe some others are just very sensative to someone who dosnt agree Welbeck will make it at the club...
Move on brwned..holding a grudge on an internet forum is rather childish….

It's like trying to say that Owen has poor movement inside the box, how do you convince someone that Messi is a good dribbler? Tell them to watch him play? What if they still don't agree?
You're not worth my time to be honest, if you're a WUM then good one, you had me there.
His origins don't matter to me.No...i don’t consider Welbecks touch one of his strengths in the first place and i base that judgment on watching him play various matches for us over the past 18 months where his touch has consistently let him down....I don’t base anything on Welbecks performance tonight nor do I need to it was nothing I haven’t seen before…cumbersome touch on the ball the running down blind alleys …the scuffing ofshot attempts whenever in range etc….I don’t think he will make it at the club and im not alone in thinking that quite clearly….if you take such great offence to that I suggest the problem lies with you and your ‘disciples’ more so than with me…
Hes a local lad from Salford and I know supporters love nothing more than seeing young local lads make it…but that shouldn’t cloud his actual playing ability when judging his performances…with some of you it clearly does.
Logic:
I'm not the first person to 'get personal with you' so chances are it's something you're doing something wrong rather than me.
If you keep ignoring your problems then you'll keep getting talked to you in what you perceive to be a patronising tone.
Just trying to help - you don't get your points across well. It's not what you say it's how you say it.

Thank you for the advice brwned....the only problem is i don’t sit here worrying about how i come across to other people who ill never meet in my life posting on an internet football forum...its not really a be all and end all situation to me I must say....if you yourself have an issue with me and feel the need to take subjects off topic and turn them into personal sly digs then quite frankly that’s something you need to deal with yourself its really not my problem...all ive done in this thread is voice my reasons as to why i don’t believe welbeck will make it at the club..that’s why this is called a forum and why one exists to voice differing opinions..fine you don’t agree with them I wont lose any sleep over it....
Plainly speaking if you or anyone else for that matter feel the need to talk down to others over the internet then thats really up to you and reflects more upon your own overindulged egos more than my ability to put forward any given argument.
That's the thing though, it clearly is your problem.
His origins don't matter to me.

He's not from Salford and as much as people like seeing Manc lads coming through it is a golbal game and a lot of our more promising young players are foreign and people support them as much as any of the local lads. It is a very patronising and zenophobic thing to insinuate, and incorrect. I can see why you seem to wind people up.
That's the thing though, it clearly is your problem.
Ok, I've sussed it now.
Sorry Allforone, you're not actually good enough for me to have an intelligent conversation with. Logic seems to be one of your weaknesses, so go on with your life and don't make things too personal all the time.
No point arguing with this allforone chap, he's an obvious retard.
a poster comes on to try put out some positives from a crap result
