City team : Teams: City - Given, Zabayletta, Boyata, Richards, Kompany, De Jong, Barry, Bellamy, Wright-Phillips, Tevez

Now what about us !?

Good on Mancini for only fielding 10 players;).

Anyone know who is the one missing.

Looks a decent but not particilarly threatening side.

Just because i've barely noticed you all season since you were ridiculed for your undying love affair with Tevez. Since posting that though i checked your profile and you have, indeed, been around. Only in Tevez related threads it would seem! I've just not noticed you.

No I been around, but with no credibility I tend to just read other peoples posts. I am getting back into it also while I am back home from Uni. :)

Very defensive line-up, that. Boyata is a bit shit and Kompany has been in poor form. Rooney should rip them to shreds.

Teasm: United - VDS, Rafael, Evans, Brown, Evra, Fletcher, Anderson, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Rooney

Official

Yes! A strong side!
Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson midfield.

Thats a good team. With Berbatov injured, 4-5-1 is the only real option, like it or not.

Wasn't Giggs supposed to be out of the match?

From the BBC:

1911: Rafael, Darren Fletcher, Anderson and Ryan Giggs are back in the Manchester United team tonight - but no Rio Ferdinand or Nemanja Vidic. Man City make two changes, with Shaun Wright-Phillips and Dedryck Boyata coming in. Full team news shortly.

Looks like Rahul's source is reliable.

Don't know what Owen has to do to get a game though! Carling Cup and no Berbatov!

Berba only has a dead leg. We have more than two strikers, too

A dead leg is still an injury. Whatever way you look at it.

And neither Owen or Diouf are really options at this moment in time.

BBC Sport's Phil McNulty at Eastlands: "And finally, after the snow, Manchester City and Manchester United meet in the Carling Cup semi-final at Eastlands. Big night for Roberto Mancini - but spare a thought for the man who guided City to the last four, Mark Hughes. Will he be watching tonight? And who will he be supporting?"

Interesting point.

Ferguson was going to go with this team regardless of Berba and Owen in my honest opinion.

Exactly. He was always going to play 451/433. I don't know why anyone is surprised.

While we wait for kick off .... what will be people's responses if we lose?

For me, it will piss me off but I wont be that fussed. Winning the PL is my sole obsession this year. I wont really care that we lost to shittyy either cos lets be honest, its a tin pot cup with no real glory attached to winning it. Net net, if we lose tonight and over both legs, I state here in public that I will not be posting all the bollox bollox normally posted on here when we lose.
