Manchester United v Manchester City

451, SAF still not learning. Fletch - effort! Scholes, long passing. Rooney. That's all that has happened, go back to sleep until the 60th minute and then turn the tv on when some subs are made.

Way he has been going will wait till the 70 something minute for first change and then bring on Diouf 90th minute

erm you have missed HOOF, HOOF, HOOF AND HOOF

This is a misrepresentation of the first half.

I'm frustrated with the system as it plays into City's hands with the players they have behind the ball and the lack of numbers United have in the box but United have been trying to keep the ball on the deck through the midfield and tried to use the flanks. Nothing much has come off due to the numbers City have behind the ball but we have still created some opportunities and half chances.

At home United should be bold enough to pair Rooney with Berba or Owen and stick Carrick and Fletcher in the middle and rely on them to win the midfield battle. The striker dropping deep or one of the wide man can always drop in to make the extra numbers if needed, so it is not like we lose the midfield battle by going with this option.

Nani has been great, so has Scholsey. Rooney looks up for it as always but he's not getting service.

Glad to hear that, particularly about Nani, hoping that he is repaying SAF's renewed faith in him since the Hull match.

Neither have been "sexually" good as sharky seems to saying, they have both been decent. Scholes is putting in a performance that is expected of him tbh and Nani has done his bit pretty well as well.

Scholes has been brilliant. IMO it is Fletcher that needs to be brought off. Perhaps even Carrick/Fletcher - Bring on Berbatov and Valencia pushing Giggs inside and Nani left.

Once again lack of threat on set pieces is biting us - should have had least a couple threats on goal from the corners and free kicks.

I dunno, I fear he will get himself sent off with another of his special tackles!!!! Did enjoy it though.

If we play one up front against Milan at home I'll cry.

absolutely average midfield that doesn't push up, is not creative, can't keep the ball and is slow
and yet again only Scholes looks like a player, at 35

Sam I played the half on FIFA, we won 1 - 0 Fletcher in off the post. Just sit back and watch it unfold now lads.

Im impressed with Nani today, good passing, good hustling / tackling, and inch perfect crosses (except for the first corner). Fletcher and carrick arent impressing me to be honest this match, one of them should come off, shift giggs in the middle, Nani left and bring on Valencia / Berbatov.

Rooney on his own upfront = zero service.

Nani has been putting in fantastic crosses, through balls and FKs. He's been our best attacking threat so far. The problem is that with the lone striker there's nobody to get on the end of them. Stating the obvious here, but we need Owen or Berb on.

just had a quick look through the posts, honestly I have quite enjoyed the first half, I reckon some of you have distorted streams!!!!!!!
Bit crap at the final ball and hopefully SAF will change formation.
Tevez should be shot though, going down clutching his face trying to get Ferdinand sent off. He did catch him, but only the same way all defenders catch players when trying to shake them off.

if we play Fletcher and Carrick then we must play either Anderson or Giggs down the middle. but now we have 3 midfielders who sit deep.

You just wonder how many times the same things have to happen for the management ro realise this system just dosnt work, how many times do we have to sit back and watch us create nothing end up playing hoof ball to an isolated under 6ft striker and huff and puff with very little end product before it actualy sinks in?

Tevez has looked extremely dangerous in the 2 and a half games vs them this season.

And if he gets the ball, there are 3 defenders around him and no one to pass the ball to
