i personally cant fecking stand Welbeck. At the end of the day I would have Cleverly over him as an out and out striker. He seems to be loving life at Watford!

Looks like he's up front with Mellor on the right wing. I'll assume he set up Mellor's goal until I'm presented with evidence to the contrary.
 
I believe Welbeck skips past peterborough's defece nutmegging every one of them and then just simple square passes it to mellor who scores in open goal.
Our boy's not greedy.

Although I don't understand the lack of patience that so many people seem to have with Welbeck as opposed to any of our other youngsters, I don't think Macheda is going anywhere.

I know it sounds a bit/lot like bollocks, but I saw Kiko the other day in the United chippy (no vinegar on his fish and chips, would you believe it!) and the guy behind the counter had a bit of a chat with him. He said he is not going on loan and he wants to stay in Manchester because "the people are so friendly" apparently! Got his meal for free too, he did!
 
macheda stays for 6 more months and he qualifies as a home grown player for us ..
welbeck already does

dont think kiko will be going out on loan this season

I have big doubts that the has the hunger to make the most of his talent, but hating him? That's just weird.

Delighted to hear he's off to a good start at Preston. I've got high hopes for him, he's got so much talent.

to be honest i cant even remember posting this.. I must have a had a few because it doesnt even make sense with Cleverly being a fecking midfielder. I must of just seen him score for Watford or something and assumed he was a striker.

But i must admit i still dont like Welbeck. I just dont think he is of United quality. He has quality, but he and Macheda (especially when playing together) just dont look up to scratch. They both look like they are competing with each other rather than working together.

We have seen a bit of him to be honest to say hes 19. Hes hand a good handful of first XI games especially in the cups and the only 2 things he has shown to me was that wonder strike vs Stoke and his cool finish against Derby away. I just feel he doesnt give 100% at all..

In a nutshell, if he were to stay at Preston for the rest of his career I wouldnt personally feel as if we have lost such a great talent like we have in Rossi and Pique.

What I was trying to say about Macheda was that he might be also given a loan spell somewhere. Surely some team would love to have him in their squad week in week out for first team experience.

Being described on Preston boards as contender for goal of the season but the beeb describes it thus...

It's the fact that you have an irrational hatred of a player who is just starting his career and has shown his ability and potential on numerous times but the odd quiet game and people are writing him off rather than allow him the time to develop and establish himself for the first team.

The goal v Wolves in the Carling Cup was what he showed regularly at reserve and academy level, and what makes him stand out as a special talent hence him being given a 4 year contract and the chances that SAF has given him to ease him in.
 
What preston forums/boards is everyone going on I want to see what they think and how Welbeck is getting along.

I don't agree with a lot of your post but this bit is particularly baffling. Both of them were awesome in tandem for the Academy and Reserves, they had a brilliant understanding. We've seen little of them in the first team together upfront though, but still they've looked promising and both of them combined well at times against Everton in the FA Cup semi final for crying out loud - there passing and movement was very clever and they looked our biggest threat.

Shown several glimpses of amazing talent and ability and scored a few absolute beauties for the first team? Played his way into England u21s at a very young age? Scored on his home debut for Preston? Proved time and time again he's one of the very best academy and reserve team players we've had since the class of 92 (if not the best)? Other than that I can only assume he must have given it to you mother, sister or gf at some point.
 
Reading the preston board's right now and one of them reckons it was a cantonesque chip while the other are hailing it as goal of the season
