Everton v Manchester United

:(Defensily we were shite, the last goal, what happend. Our def looked like they were running with lead in their shoes. Even I could run past them, and I weigh 108 kg.:(

be prepared for us not to win the title this year. we have been too disinterested in too many games

It is not the defense but the midfield. I started watching this game around 55min and we did not have a midfield out there, they were second to every ball. I thought someone other than Carrick was playing. For this formation to work, that is, when we switch to 4-5-1, Carrick must step up, today was his off day. He may be tired after all those games he has played continuously.

Not a big deal, it could've been expected. Not much has changed, Chelsea will probably drop points to Wolves too which will leave us with a 2-point gap, which could made up by beating them at home. I wouldn't expect the current United side to win at places like Villa, Everton (City or Sunderland too).

we need wolves to save us. :(

They can't even save themselves. Chavs will get three points there but there's still along way to go this season. 6 defeats and we can still win the league. I can't believe the amount of times we gifted the ball to Everton today but credit to them. They've been on form, they beat Chelsea and now us.

Also think Moyes got his strategy spot on and got one over SAF in that department

Everton easily the better team today, United didn't deserve anything out of the game.

And enjoy it while it lasts Everton, I don't think Rodwell will be playing for you next season. I can see him moving to Arsenal or Liverpool to be honest with ya.

the moment berba got taken off we lost all our attacking spark and everton just piss all over us.

Negative tactics cost us the game, I think.

Berbatov was our best player and we were dominant until we switched to the 4-3-3.

Very disappointing. West Ham game is now a must win.

Why do so many people assume that we might beat Chelsea at OT?

We didn't deserve anything at all. Obertan was woeful. Ferguson just didn't get the line-up right but our options were few with so many injuries and suspensions.

No need for giving up already. Personally I feel we have done well to still be in the race in the first place having gone most of the season without Rio and Vidic. Losing to Everton away is not the end of the season for us.
It's tougher, sure, but the fat lady's nowhere to be seen just yet.

Yeah he was injuried so he had to go off, and to be honest i would rather change the system to a 451 than see Owen come on to play up top with Rooney

The home game against Chelsea is now a must win. Everton were the better team today. I'm gutted.

it was ridiculous how lackadaisical the midfield was.

Once again we fluff the chance to take over at the top. It makes me wonder if complacency is kicking in

I only hope our defense turns up someday soon.

not this season. With Rio unreliable, Vidic with an unsure future, JOS and Brown unpredictable and Rafael and Fabio still a few yeas away from its being fair to heap responsibility upon them, SAF needs to have a long strategic look at this department and rebuild. Its been clear all season.

Being honest they aren't that good and most of it is hype, we only lost at the Bridge due to the ref giving a dodgy free kick which lead to their goal. Other than that we outplayed them on the day and we are more than capable of doing the same when we face them at home.
