Philadelphia Union vs Manchester United - Pre-Season Tour

We're lucky this is an MLS side, had they had players who could finish we could easily have conceded at least 3 goals today.

poor game .
result doesnt matter
atleast the players got to run a lot

Giggs is a genius.

I love rafael, i genuinly think this lad could be one of the best right full backs of his generation, fabulous player, Brazil dosnt half have a history of developing amazing right backs.

Going forwards sure. But at the back, he has much to learn.

If you watch Rafael he actually pulled out of that tackle, he didn't fully commit. I think it say alot that he actually rectified the mistake before he actually commited it.

Another good display from Obertan and a cracking display from Welbeck. Both seemed to be involved in most of the best stuff we created.

It wasn't the best game, but it was a cracking work out and that is what it was all about.

Yeah...I was shitting my pants. Thought he was going to be off. Say what you want about him being talented going forwards...he's still rusty defending.

He's fecking reckless, I can't handle the fear when he dives in for tackles like that in and around the box! Had a big effect on the game going forward though, I thought.

Obertan sparked into life a bit more for the last half hour, thought he did well. Corry Evans looked very impressive to me, made himself available for the easy pass time and again and looked very tidy. Welbeck's so promising, I really hope he makes it.

I think that both the twins, if we continue to develop them properly, could be the next evolution of fullback for United. Players who genuinely produce in the final third like Maicon and Dani Alves. However being that they are at United they are likely to be taught how to defend properly too and thats why they could be even better than those two. Obviously thats not going to happen over night but they are still so young.

Anyone watching the Celtic match? They're playing at Fenway Park. Very odd to see anything other than a baseball game on this field. The field looks really good. No dirt either. Why can't they remove the dirt for NFL games played on baseball fields?

You can gurantee the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid will start sniffing around these lads in the not to distant future though the greedy 'next big thing' obsessed cnuts they are, thats the one fear i have is that as soon as these lads start to become the players their obvious talent will allow the spanish will start playing their tapping up games.

Corry did look good perhaps deserves a start, I'd probably think the side for Kansas would be along the lines of:

Amos; Rafael, Brown, Smalling, DeLaet; Cleverley, C.Evans, Fletcher, Nani; Berbatov, Diouf

though I'd imagine it'd be more like:

Van der Sar; Rafael, Brown, Smalling, O'Shea; Welbeck, Fletcher, Scholes, Nani; Berbatov, Diouf
Would like to see that lineup on Sunday.

Welbeck had a great match. Involved in a lot of the attack. Played in Uberhead nicely.
