Probably mixed in with the heat and humidity and relative lack of desire. But this is certainly better quality to compete against in pre-season than those club sides in the Far East and the like.
 
The MLS has been going for a few months. It like when we played Zenit in the Super cup, they are more match sharp.

No one has played decent for us yet today.
 
Amos can't even throw the ball out without us getting into trouble. We're actually worse than we were in the first half against Philly.
It's only a pre-season friendly but this is shocking stuff by players looking to impress.
 
Whats worse than Paddy's biased commentating, is how the Stewart Gardner always accepts Paddy's words like its gospel, even though we all really know that he doesnt believe it. Its like the guy who's the right hand man in a bad horror film or something that is too scared to disagree with his boss, even though he knows he's right.

Warren Barton was once the most expensive defender in English football; he was a raiding full-back of real quality and while his ability was never rewarded with trophies; he still had a fine career. Barton is best known for his days with Newcastle United, but he also had a very successful spell at Wimbledon where he really established himself as top player.

His move to Newcastle in 1995 for £4million made headlines but Barton proved himself as worthy of the price-tag with some classy performances early on. He played a pivotal role in the team known as the ‘Entertainers’ and even though he was a full-back, Barton was perhaps more valuable in the opposing half than in his own penalty area. After six years on Tyneside, Barton was moved on to Derby County where he spent a couple of years before his career wound down with spells at QPR, Wimbledon and Dagenham & Redbridge.

We have seen some shocking results by the second string in recent years, this is nothing new...
