Venue:
Reliant Stadium
KO: 19:30 CDT / 01:30 BST

First time I've started one of these, figured pre-season was the best place to start.
Apparently the Reliant Stadium has around a 70,000 capacity, are they expecting a sell out?

I'm expecting O'Shea, Brown, Fletcher, Welbeck and Obertan to start this at the very least, alongside one of the two senior goalies.

Yeah I'm with you there, PIG, OShea, Fletcher, Welbeck and Obertan to start.
Giggs and Scholes need resting, but we lack depth in midfield.

--O'shea----Brown----Smalling---Fabio--

Nani----Cleverly----Fletcher----Obertan-

--------SuperBerbs-----Welbeck------

Hernandez:

Sir Alex has confirmed Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez could play a part in Wednesday's friendly against the MLS All-Stars.

"It depends on his condition when he joins us in Houston but we hope to give him a bit of football on Wednesday night."

:eek::eek:

:drool:

Season hasn't even started yet and you're talking about resting players? :wenger:

I think with the heat and the relatively short spaces between games at the very least they should be playing one half each here. They weren't keeping pocession and they were "as expected" trying to win pocession back. Fletcher is a must here, heck even play Rafael in centremidfield if needs be. :lol:

I actually cannot watch this. I have 9 hours coaching the day after, and need to be up at 6.. Anyway 3-1 to us.

Yeah definatly, the only reason they've played every game so far is because they are our two biggest stars that weren't at the WC and that's why alot of the non united fans have gone to the games, to see names!

I hadn't thought about it before but I expect Corry Evans to start, too.

It would seem strange that they save Corry Evans just for this game, unless Fergie plans to field two different teams I can't see it happening. e.g.

-----------Kuszczak------------------>----------Van der Sar------------
Rafael-O'Shea-J. Evans-Fabio ---------> Fletcher-Smalling-Brown-DeLaet
Cleverley-C.Evans-Scholes-Obertan----> Welbeck-Giggs-Gibson-Nani----
-----Macheda---Diouf-----------------> ----Berbatov-Hernandez--------

Didn't Fergie say though, that everyone he took on the tour will get a start?

Alright for people who keep complaining about acronyms and time zones and whatnot:

Australia Eastern: Thursday - 10:30am
India: Thursday - 6:00am
Central European Summer Time: Thursday - 2:30am
British Summer Time: Thursday - 1:30am

NA Eastern: Wednesday - 8:30pm
NA Central: Wednesday - 7:30pm
NA Mountain: Wednesday - 6:30pm
NA Pacific: Wednesday - 5:30pm

Let me know if you have any requested time zones or if I botched yours and you want to correct me.

Note: THESE ARE NOT KICKOFF TIMES. Like every other match on this tour, this match takes place on North American soil where we like to do our dainty little pregame festivities that include anthems and interviews and commentary and jets flying over the stadium and whatnot. If the very idea of tuning into a football game at the "scheduled time" and not seeing an immediate kickoff offends you, tune in roughly 10 to 15 minutes after the time listed above.

Maybe Corry would start the Chivas game in México.
Perhaps, but I reckon giving Giggsy a rest in this one, start Corry and then have Giggsy for the opening of Chiva's new stadia.
From a commerical standpoint it makes sense.

Think it's more likely they'll play Scholes one half and Giggs the other... even resting Giggs and Scholes it seems likely that the Darron & Darren pairing is due a runout, maybe with Corry Evans in a midfield three i.e.

Nani--Darren--Corry--Darron--Danny

I saw an interview on Sky earlier in which Fergie stated that O'Shea and Fletcher are injured.

I'd like to see:

------------------Amos------------------

Brown------Evans----Smalling------Fabio--
----------------Scholes------------------
Nani-------Cleverly------Fletcher---------
---------------------------------Welbeck
--------Berbatov------

Now I realise both O'Shea and Fletcher are likely to miss the All Star game, the chances of Corry starting, particularly in a 4-5-1 formation seem more likely now.

An English team hasn't won against the all stars.

--------Van der Sar---------
Rafael-DeLaet-J.Evans-Fabio
Nani-Gibson-Giggs--Obertan--
-----Berbatov-Hernandez----

Bench:Kuszczak, C.Evans, Diouf, Macheda, Meulensteen, Alex Ferguson, erm injured Fletcher and O'Shea

Problem solved. :nervous:

It's on Setanta Ireland :D

it all comes down to how well the MLS all stars gel together. if they play as a unit I think we'll lose. so long as nobody gets hurt I don't really care tbh.

Fletcher and O'Shea are supposed to be out of the MLS-All Star game with small niggling injuries.

For starting line up I expect

VDS
Rafael, Brown, Evans, Fabio
Welbeck, Scholes, Gibson, Giggs, Nani
Berbatov

Bummed that Fletcher won't be playing but, I think SAF will go with trying to control the midfield this time around.

Might see more interchanging play from Welbeck, Giggs and Nani.

United couldn't beat a 10-Man KC side... what makes them think they'll beat the All-Stars?

Yeah United have never ever lost to opposition they should have beaten easily - never has happened till the Wizards did it. They've never lost and then gone on the next game and made up for a poor showing ... United stink.

Ya' see... you completely missed my point. It's not that United sucks... as much as the USA feckin' rocks!:devil:

As a drunk guy sat behind me pointed out no less than 20 times, 'Manchester underestimated the magical powers of the Wizards'.
Haha ace. So what you're saying is I'm on a par with a drunk guy?
At least I didn't say it 20 times I guess.
