Premier League: 02/03 October

I love Blackpool though. Having a go as always. They've kept the ball much better and are passing it much better too.

So then, United to finish 3rd behind Chelsea and City and Liverpool relegated? I think I'd take that right now

Nah. They'd have a season beating up on Championship sides like Newcastle did and then be back before you know it.

I think I'd rather United won the league.

That Arsenal starting 11 has 6 Frenchmen and 2 further players who were signed from French teams.

Oh lordy...the dippers aren't going to be happy come half time if this scoreline remains :D

True. They'll be giddy today, but they were still shite at home to Newcastle and were lucky to get the 3 points.

I still don't see anything to fear in them.

Neither. We've had the more difficult fixtures so far; apart from Chelsea they've had it easy (and still managed to feck up) - and also, apologies, my post should have said lads and ladies!

That's just small minded. I don't care how badly Liverpool do as long as they finish out of Europe and they continue to have those parasitic yanks in charge. More worried about how well we are going to do to be honest.

? I'm not agreeing with the guy who said he'd be happy with 3rd!

I didn't say I'd be happy with 3rd :nervous:

I said I might hypothetically "take" it right now. Obviously we'd all rather we won the league.

Glen Johnson's a curious case.

I'm pretty sure he's a good footballer, he's got both feet, is a beast physically and has the ability to make things happen.

The thing is, I don't know where he's a good player. He's terrible defensively, too one-dimensional to be an outright winger, too sloppy to play centrally in either defence or midfield and he's not someone I picture as a striker. Probably useless as a keeper.

Is it possible to be a good footballer but terrible player? I would make a thread about this if I cared enough.

You don't say!!!??

That makes no sense at all! Why would you ever 'take' 3rd if winning the league is a realistic goal?

2-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blackpool!!!

Was not offside, good football there.

Rio's concentration used to be pretty poor yet it was still abundantly clear he'd be a class centre-back. I genuinely don't see where Glen Johnson's natural position is on a pitch.
