I reckon there will be a fair few username change requests.
Never use players in usernames - lesson which has been taught over and over again.
Do we no for sure that Rooney was stretched off in training or is it yet another smoke screen?
Very similar this to becks. For those who were here then, read up that thread. Same disbelief, same doubts for the club, SAF has lost it, United are in decline, etc.
Theres alot of that around today. theres also a marked difference to how the older posters are reacting. Says more about todays football fan really.
The club over anyone, full stop. Thanks for the memories Wayne.
We've won three premier league titles and the biggest trophy a club team can, the CL, in the last four years. And one year of finishing A SINGLE POINT behind Chelsea and almost making it to the CL final.
We lost two players. One because no reason other than the player being of a certain nationality, and players of that nationality always prefer Spain to England. It would have happened at any English club. And the other because at the time he was well over priced.
We'll bounce back alright. This is United we're talking about. He was just a jigsaw in the puzzle. He'll be replaced just fine.
What I'm worried about is him moving to another English club. That could come to really haunt us big time. Hope he goes to Real or something. First time I'd ever want Real to take a player off us!!
(Hypothetically in this case of Rooney, lets assume he goes to City/Chelsea/Madrid in January.)
I cant decide in fairness.
Fergie announced in his interview, after finding out from Gill, he approached Rooney who denied him that.
Having learned of Rooney's desire to go, Ferguson requested to speak to the player.
"Dealing with the next step was always going to be decisive for us, how we dealt with the situation," he said.
"I asked to have a meeting with the boy and he reiterated what his agent said, that he wanted to go.

The thing is though what has been in papers has as good a chance of being bullshit as it does of being true. I take everything written with a pinch of salt.
All we know for sure is what Fergie has told us. Fergie has not said he's disrespected the club in any way.
Exactly.
feck off Wayne. Now we can all call you overrated and mention just how poor your first touch has been.
You have to ask why.

Unless it's Scholes or Giggs.
This means rooney can't use a lack of investment in the squad as an excuse (transfer window was still open) and we can be reassured that negotiations were well underway before he entered the last two years of his contract.
Ronaldo of course. I know people say a lot about Ronaldo but he was A) twice the other two on the pitch PUT TOGETHER and b) always honest about his goals in his footballing life. For me I've always looked at Ronaldo, barring the on the pitch antics, as a classy individual. He talks about United with pride and nothing but praise. He's in touch with Fergie and looks at him as a father figure. He feels a certain debt to the club.
Rooney, if all of this is true, is an Englishman, who has never had any fondness for our rivals. And unless he wants to go back to Everton (), whatever his reasons are, do not seem quite right and seem highly unclassy.
I follow Ronaldo's career with fondness for all the great times he gave this club and that he's always has the class to talk about the club in the right manner. If all of this now goes as expected, I'll have nothing but an pure and deep dislike for Wayne Rooney. He was my favorite player. How wrong I was about him.

Well, two CL finals later, we still keep on going. Move over Wayne, Chicharito is ready to score goals.
