Does anyone have any info on Anderson? I'm stunned he hasn't travelled. Is it just an injury or are we to start reading more into this kind of omission?
Would love to see the likes of Smalling given a game here. Turkey away is a great one for a bit of hostile away-day experience. I think it's an integral part of any young United player's educumication.

No surprise Rio has been rested, i said on here yesterday i didn't think wed take him for this one, with some very big league games coming up in close proximity there's no need to take any risks for this game, give Smalling some more champions league experience.
Id also like to see Nani and Berbatov left on the bench at the start and give Park/Obertan/Hernandez a run out as a front 3, we can always bring the big guns on if we need to.
I think seeing as we're only taking 2 strikers over there its a safe bet to suggest we're going to start with 1 up top, might be a perfect opportunity to see how Hernandez plays such a role.

I think Fergie may start with Nani and make sure the job gets done, hopefully it will get done early enough that we can bring him off and give Obertan 30 minutes.
I wasn't really excited about Vidic, could really sense that it was difficult for him when he first came and a few memories like losing out to Miller etc... was not a good start by our captain...
Best CB in the world now though and thats what counts.

Everybody thinks this is going to be an easy game. It would be easy if it was a home game. But Turkey is one of the hardest places to win just because of the crazy atmosphere. So I think we might start off strong and then make changes early in the second half. Young players may not be able to cope with the atmosphere.
Be aware that the game is at 3:45pm ET on the US side. Our clocks go back next week. Its on FSN.
I think we'll win it 3-1, wouldnt be surprised if they start off quick and get an early goal with the crowd going nuts as they do over there, but our extra class should tell over the 90.

I agree. Pick a team to win, but we cant keep dropping points in the Prem, so I'd have left the same 3 at home to rest (Rio only I believe
