Let's hope Smalling has a good game.
Well, I'm certainly not hoping he has a bad game.Let's hope Smalling has a good game.
Anderson is injured, a dead leg in the Bursaspor match according to Ben Hibbs.
Macheda has a virus i´ve heard.

WTF is Bursaspor Kulubu Dernegi?![]()
Bursaspor Association Club.
(possibly Bursa Sports Association Club)
I'm a Turk and i've been watching turkish league for many years, but never heard that name before.![]()
Virus too.What about Darron Gibson?
Virus too.
Any chance Rio got the same thing?
19:03 Injuries/omissions: Sir Alex reports that Ryan Giggs started training with the physios last Thursday. He's about 10 to 14 days off being fit but might be back in time for the Manchester derby (10 November). Meanwhile, Macheda, Anderson, Gibson and Evans all have viruses. Rooney did a bit of jogging yesterday but could still be three weeks away. Maybe longer.
19:00 Remember, these quotes may not be 100 per cent verbatim. But they'll give you a good gist of what Sir Alex and Ji are saying. More in-depth news stories from the press conference will follow this evening.
18:59 Finally, Ji-sung Park gets asked a question! The Korean is asked is he is feeling happier about his recent form. "Yes, I'm happy," he says. "The last two games have been better for me. I feel more confident and want to keep it going."
18:58 Sir Alex dismissive when asked if Champions League group games are "a bit flat". He retorts by claiming "it's the best competition in the world - better than the World Cup".
18:56 The manager smiles and gives a firm "No" when asked by a Turkish journalist if he'd ever consider managing another Premier League club.
18:53 Chris Smalling earns praise from Sir Alex. "Chris has adapted really well. We want to give him as much experience as possible."
18:46 The boss, slightly paraphrased: "I've decided to leave Rio at home. He's come on well over the last few weeks but the form of Smalling meant I wouldn't risk Rio."
I'd say theres a fair chance theres nothing wrong with Rio, they're just giving him a breather with all of the big matches coming up.
FYI I am not injured and IF I was you would here it here 1st!

Can't wait to see Smalling in action again. Not often you say that about a CB but I'm excited about him.
No surprise Rio has been rested, i said on here yesterday i didn't think wed take him for this one, with some very big league games coming up in close proximity there's no need to take any risks for this game, give Smalling some more champions league experience.
Id also like to see Nani and Berbatov left on the bench at the start and give Park/Obertan/Hernandez a run out as a front 3, we can always bring the big guns on if we need to.
I think seeing as we're only taking 2 strikers over there its a safe bet to suggest we're going to start with 1 up top, might be a perfect opportunity to see how Hernandez plays such a role.
Seeing as Van Der Sars travelled id assume that means hes playing to.
Van Der Sar
Brown Smalling Vidic Evra
Fletcher Carrick Scholes
Park Hernandez Obertan
Erm Vidic?
What a shit question this one was
Be aware that the game is at 3:45pm ET on the US side. Our clocks go back next week. Its on FSN.
They are top of the table in Turkey though.
But didn't Valencia beat them 4-0 in their own ground? They are top of the table in Turkey though.
Id like to see Nani/Ferdinand/Berbatov
