Birmingham v Manchester United

Horrible game.

Poor performance. Hope we pick it up in the second. Only Berbatov has looked on his game from an attacking perspective. Our full backs need to work harder to join the attack.

Good programme about Munich on rte 1 if any Irish watchers are in here

Absolutely terrible first half. No fluidity in the passing. Formation looks disjointed as well.

Might need to make a change for the second half if we want to win the match.

Gibson has been invisible, in saying that Rooney has also been poor!!

United need width and movement. Bring on Obertan instead of Gibson, move Giggs to left and play Rooney behind Berba.

Haven't watched the match but, sometimes I wonder why he thinks that giving another 10-15 minutes after the break will change things when the first 45 minutes have been dire.

Once in a while I'd like to see our subs given more of a chance to make an impact on a game that hasn't been going according to plan.

never has been his style to change things at half-time , but this is one game he should.

There is too big a gap between our back 6 and front 4, we can't sustain pressure as we can't win the ball back high up the pitch once a move breaks down, we need the back four to step up 10 yards.

Feel sorry for Gibson not his position, so cut him some slack. Hopefully Obertan comes on.

Still 45 minutes left to win this. I'm running out of patience with Rooney.

What a bizarre post. Cut Gibson slack for playing out of position but have a pop at Rooney when he is stuck out wide.

Mental

A slow first half, but we usually improve once we have a feel for the game.

Gibson wasn't giving the ball away as much as Anderson, but he isn't making things happen either.

I'd leave it for a while. This is a game where we just need to nick even a flukey goal. Giggs' cross effort would've been perfect.

Why the feck have we moved Anderson further forwards in order to bring in Gibson, when Gibson's best position is the one Anderson's now playing in?

Gibson must just be some kind of practical joke? There's no other explanation for him. He's lost the ball three times from VDS throw outs, because he wasn't paying attention when the ball came to him. I mean for feck sake.

The three in midfield have been outhustled by Brum. Need to freshen things up with a change. I would take Gibson out, put giggs in the middle and Obertan out wide.

SAF has got the team formation wrong - we lack width and Rooney is wasted out wide and Berba up front on his own.

Carrick's played fine. As usual, the people who are criticising have no fecking clue.

The problem has been the offensive players - Giggs, Anderson and Rooney all really poor.

I'll echo those who would like to see some width (i.e. Obertan)

Unfortunately hes not a funny one.

Need to get a grip on the midfield. Birmingham, the negative cnuts that they are (though it's the only way they'll get anything out the game), are making it impossible for us to play.

Gibson does make me chuckle. I wish him all the best always but sometimes I do wonder how he gets games for us.

Shockingly ignorant statement.

Fletcher can get himself in a position to cross. Gibson doesn't have the skill or pace to create space. Fletch isn't blazingly fast, but he's faster than a speeding glacier. The chance to cross has to come to Gibson. He can't create one.

He's out of position so he can't be expected to create lots of crosses, but he's offered very little if anything. He sat on the ball and watched Rafael fly down the wing in acres of space.

We can get a result, B'ham have yet to pressure us really. We just need to get our game on a bit. We will improve in the second half and win the game.
